Fantastisk hotel, skøn morgenmad og dejlig atmosfære.
Pros:

Fantastisk beliggenhed lige i midten af Riquewihr.
Værten var super sød og gjorde alt for vi havde et godt ophold.

Cons:

En bedre ventilator, ift. at vi var afsted midt i en hedebølge, men de gjorde alt hvad de kunne.

Unfortunaltely, a friendly service cannot make up for an outdated infrastructure
Pros:

The most positive aspect of this hotel was the interaction with the owner-manager. It was extremely friendly, and they genuinely gave the impression that they cared about their guests and wanted to provide them with the best possible stay. Also, the parking lot was very practical. Just outside the old town, where one wouldn't want to enter with a car, but only a few meters from the hotel. Breakfast was good and tasteful, with homemade products in a cosy courtyard. A bit strange that a simple cappuccino wasn't an option, but OK.

Cons:

Despite all of the above, and with every sympathy for the hotel team, the truth is that this hotel is in need of an update, and that will not be easy. It is housed in a historic building with very tight spaces, and I am not sure to what extent heritage regulations would even allow for major changes. However, those constraints mean the hotel simply no longer meets what one would expect today. The stairs and passageways are narrow and steep, and one cannot help but worry about what would happen in the event of a fire.
The summer heat made the atmosphere quite oppressive. The hotel tried to address this with a portable air-conditioning unit, which is a nice gesture, but it was extremely noisy, and the windows were tiny. The walls, wallpaper, bathroom... everything showed significant signs of wear and tear and was clearly in need of renovation. The view from our room consisted of nothing more than a sloping roof just 20 cm from the window.
For this duplex room, which I had booked for a special occasion, I paid significantly more than I normally would, hoping for a wonderful experience. In hindsight, I cannot help but feel disappointed, as much as I wish the proprietors all the best.

Optimale Lage in der Stadtmitte.
Pros:

Schönes Haus und nettes Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Es war möglich unweit vom Hotel zu parken... sehr praktisch.

Nous sommes rentrés à 22 h et sommes partis à 23 h la canicule les chambres étaient des fours les ventilateurs inutiles

Purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato in uno dei periodi più caldi dell'anno e non essendoci l'aria condizionata (nelle dimore storiche non si possono installare),è stata una notte davvero impegnativa .
