A good place to stay on my route north. I shall be back next year.
Pros:

The hotel is in a nice, quiet location. It has a big garden - ideal for letting my dog stretch his legs a little. There is a golf corse just across the road with public access to its paths for longer walk.
The hotel is quite old as is the decor. Nevertheless my room was very clean and comfortable. My dog was welcome to stay in my room and to go in all the public areas. The staff were freindly and welcoming. The food at dinner and breakfast was good.

Cons:

For such a dog friendly hotel I was surprised that there wasn’t a dog bowl in the room. A minor detail but one that mattered to me.

Cons:

My partner is scared of spiders and having to deal with them wasn’t ideal as the ceiling’s were high and lots of cobwebs thought the upper floor

Pros:

Old rooms, feels like being in older times. Really liked the big bathrooms and that in the family room there was both a shower and a bath.

Beds were uncomfortable and noisy. The doors didn’t feel secure.

l'établissement mériterait quelques rénovations mais cela n'enlève rien à la qualité de l'acceuil.
Pros:

le personnel est très accueillant et attentionné. l'hôtel est situé à côté d'un terrain de golf, l'endroit est très calme.

Cons:

la chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses, mais elles mériteraient un rafraichissement, tant sur le plan confort que de l'esthétique.

Fade glory. Staff excellent though.
Pros:

Staff very good .all cooked food excellent. Very good chef.

Cons:

General lack of maintenance of building fabric IE vegetation in gutters. All sash windows need cleaning and replacing. Ash trays in garden look as though they haven't been emptied for a while. No fresh fruit or natural yoghurt for breakfast.
