L'oscar London

We usually stay at a London 5-star property but decided to try L'Oscar for a weeklong stay to celebrate an anniversary because the design looked original and appealing and the price point was lower. We're very glad we did! Staff were responsive and helpful even before I booked, when I emailed with questions about the various room categories and a request for a room that gets natural light, etc. The level of care continued from the time we arrived until we left. L'Oscar is stunning--a delight to behold and as far from a cookie-cutter design as you can get. Public areas are welcoming and boldly but tastefully decorated and our room was one of my all-time favorites after decades of staying in fine hotels. It was large and beautifully designed and appointed, with a separate sitting area and desk. The room had a foyer with closet; access to the well-appointed bathroom was from the foyer, which also made the room feel immense. The room was spotless and breakfast service, turndown, and housekeeping were excellent. There is no pool or gym, but guests may use a gym around the corner at no charge (I didn't, so cannot speak to its quality.) Location was perfect for West End productions and we walked most everywhere. Sainsbury's is across the street for snacks, drinks, etc. From a comfort/character/value standpoint, I think L'Oscar is very hard to beat.

5.0 based on location, amenities, and service. The issue i have is they sent me a final bill but then charged me a lot more. I reached out to them and they admitted to making a mistake and said they would issue a refund. They issued a refund to my Visa but then recalled it so I am still waiting on a refund.

We had an amazing stay here for a night and got to enjoy the afternoon tea, posh accomodation, and excellent service from Toni. Really appreciated his care for us during our stay!

We loved our stay. From the moment we walked in the service was top notch, especially from Toni. The room was very nice, tasteful, clean, everything you would want for a special night.

The hotel is outstanding as are the staff. I stayed in the junior suite grande which is superb.
I had a fall while elsewhere in London and had to go to A&E. Staff at the hotel were made aware and upon my return from hospital they couldn’t have been more helpful.
The food in the restaurant was world class.
Full marks.

Our stay at L’Oscar was especially special! The location was perfect; central, right next to the Tube station with the whole city easily accessible within 20 mins either way.
The hotel has a very inviting atmosphere and very helpful staff. Toni anticipated our departure and arranged transport efficiently and timely.
The rooms are extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated , and service was excellent! Everything needed was available or arranged by the staff. Despite being in the middle of the city, the noise cancellation was great!
Would recommend a 100%!

L’oscar is one the best hotels I’ve ever stayed, hands down. From Vanicia to Toni and Rashid, the staff’s level of excellence, friendliness and desire to go above and beyond to make your stay better is unmatched. This was my first trip to London, and I’ll certainly be back and will stay at L’oscar. Cheers to the wonderful staff!

We had a wonderful stay at L’Oscar for our anniversary! The doorman Toni always greeted us by name with a smile. He was so kind, attentive and helpful during our stay with recommendations and finding us a taxi. We would love to return again!

This hotel was absolutely amazing. Our room was spacious, we received so many complimentary goodies, and breakfast every morning was impeccable. The hotel was incredibly clean and beautiful, and each day we were amazed by the consistently high quality experience. Staff members such as Toni made our stay especially remarkable and memorable, and because of that we will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at L’oscar. The boutique hotel was incredibly well-run, from the moment you walk in until the sad moment you have to leave the property. The room was amazing - with the largest double shower and tub room we had ever seen. The food on property - both in the dining room and in-room service - was some of the best we’ve had at any hotel throughout the world.

One of the true stars of the property is the Concierge, Toni. He caters to your every need with kindness and efficiency; remembering each guest by name. He is a true asset to L’oscar!

My wife and I went to London for 9 days just to soak up the local scene/culture and to be pampered. We definitely picked the right place. From our enthusiastic initial greeting from Sara to our room tour and orientation from Tony, we quickly understood this stay would be a lot of fun. It’s an historic building that has been incredibly well maintained. The entire hotel has impressive attention to detail. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return.

What a special experience. Start to finish. Traveling for business, I came off a red eye and was immediately greeted by Toni’s warm smile. I sat in the lobby during a call while the team brought me coffee and water and got me set up in my room (automatically, without me saying a thing). The access to the nearby Gymbox was great. The team learned that I went daily and started calling the gym to let them know I was coming each day—again, without me saying anything. Everyone knew my name, things about me, everything. The room was large and beautifully kept. Restaurant was excellent. The whole property was so nice—like staying in the estate of a rich eccentric aunt.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel; could go on forever. Bravo to the team—we will not hesitate to come back.
