Things to improve for a comfortable stay
Pros:

Beautiful old hotel. Quiet rooms. Great shower. Excellent bedding.

Cons:

Air conditioning didn't work and made for an uncomfortable sleep in the heat. The fan couldn't do enough in such heat. The blinds at the windows don't keep out the light, you're not going to get a good sleep without an eye-mask which I didn't have. The shower gels are very old lady feminine, would be best to have something unisex. Check out is too early at 11am should be 12 midday. View was over the car park. With a £200 a night price tag it should be a lot better.

Wonderful.
Pros:

The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The location is superb. We were also surprised and delighted to be upgraded to a suite, and the facilities were fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our very comfortable stay, roast Sunday dinner in the restaurant, and a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel but parking is a pain
Pros:

Nice hotel with good restaurant and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff.

Cons:

Parking is a bit of a walk away in a public car park. Despite car park having a notice that parking is free after 6pm and before 9am we still got a ticket at 8:30am! Not very tourist friendly!

Really central to the market place in Richmond.
Room and ensuite were really nice, modern, very clean and well equipped with proper fridge, fresh milk and water carafes. Staff were extremely friendly. Probably the cleanest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in!

Cons:

Our room was extremely hot, even with the windows open we couldn’t get enough fresh air in to cool it down. A fan is provided but its not efficient enough unfortunately. I think because our room was above the kitchen, it was alot warmer in general. The bed unfortunately was just too uncomfortable, there was two single mattresses put together but one was alot more firmer than the other.

Great hotel room and restaurant in Richmond!
Pros:

Our hotel room was clean and remodeled with a modern bathroom. It was spacious, the windows open for air flow, and the bed was very comfortable. It has outlets on each side, a small refrigerator, a towel warmer and good bath products. The staff was super friendly, and the steak dinner at the restaurant delicious.

Excellent place to stay! The staff, food and accommodation were all exceptional. We stayed in the castle suite which was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back!

Cons:

Slight inconvenience not being parking on site but 24 hour parking available at a long term parking area operated by Richmond Council. This is a short walk from the hotel. The hotel offers a drop off point in front of the hotel.

Pros:

Great room. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff friendly but professional. Fridge in the room with fresh milk. Hope to go back!

Cons:

As we were at the front of the hotel there was some road noise. The room was a bit warm and some of the windows couldn’t be opened.
