The bed was fabulously comfortable and the linen clean and crisp and high quality. The facilities in the room were nice and the room had everything you could need. We were given a couple of drink tokens when we got there, we were too tired to use them but I thought that's a nice touch. It was a very nice comfortable stay, very good for the 3 star quality.
There was an industrial machine noise that started about 10:30pm and was on and off all night. Think generator, roadworks machinery, or industrial pressure washer kind of noise. I wasn't able to figure out what it was because the windows are permanently closed and frosted, so don't know if the sound came from the hotel or a neighbouring property. It engulfed the whole room and prevented me from sleeping. However my partner slept through it all. But if you're a light sleeper you definitely need ear plugs because the sound will drive you bananas.
Other reviews mentioned the person at reception being rude, and if you aren't accustomed to the gruff Aussie publican you might think so too, but she was ultimately a lovely generous person. :) Just keep this in mind and don't expect a 5 star receptionist in a 3 star hotel with a manager stretched thin between tasks. Ultimately this is a very nice 3 star stay and we would stay here again.
Location
The fact I didn’t get what I booked
Clean and tidy
Aircon in 1 room wouldn't work. No dishwasher liquid or tea towel in kitchen. Hot water service very slow.
Close to shops n food
Was loud and doesn’t have coffee in the rooms shower had broken tiles in it
Pictures out side the room were off the wall
The room is clean, bed is so comfortable, enough space to 3 people
No lift, must Carry the suitcase up the stairs 😅😅
Room was clean , modern bathroom
Free parking, bus ride to city
A bit tatty entrance to building.
Parking and access was easy. The heat pump worked on a cold evening and the bed was comfy.
No lift for the second floor. It was a bit noisy on a busy street corner but double glazing masked much of the noise.
La amabilidad del personal
Me habria gustado que la Recepcion estuviera disponible antes de las 10:00 am
That it was not too far out of CBD
No air ventilation in rooms and the windows you were unable to see out of. The room always smelt like detol cleaning product.
convenance, cost to public transport.
reasonable price, free parking and good customer service.
Rooms are clean and tidy.
the Wi-Fi at the time wasn't available for me to use.
Such friendly helpful staff.
The TV kept dropping out saying no signal. Staff suggested a reset and it worked better for awhile. 7 and 9 worst effected . 4 flights of stairs to our room. A bit noisy sirens near hospital.
