No where to rest suitcases on had to use the bed.

Very conveniently sited for a visit to Trent Bridge and the staff were attentive to the needs of our group.
The hotel had put fans in the rooms but as we were there on the hottest days of the year air conditioning would have been an advantage.

I was in a room with one south facing window that didn't open, with a fan that circulated hot air, which stopped working when electric went off during the night. I had to sleep with the door lodged open to get any air from the corridor as I couldn't breathe in the room. This room (35) should not be let out in.such hot weather.
Also, there is no soap tray in the shower to put soap, shampoo etc.
excellent location, within a short 10-15 mins walk of Trent Bridge cricket stadium. Spa facilities were also very nice. Breakfast was decent quality. Room and other areas were all clean and tidy.
Unfortunately we went on the back of 4-5 days of extreme heat of 30+ degrees and none of the bedrooms in the hotel have air conditioning. They had become stiflingly hot and quite unpleasant to try to sleep in. There was a fan provided, but this was just noisy and moved hot air around, as the only window in the room was quite high up, small and had a safety lock on it to prevent people from jumping out. The hotel did provide free water bottles and ice creams to help guests to keep cool. Under normal circumstances the room would have be quite pleasant for the price, just unfortunate we stayed at the end of a heatwave and it bedroom was unbearably hot, with my wife overheating and becoming sick due to the temperatures.

Staff were lovely. Free ice cream in reception. swimming pool fantastic We found a Harvester restaurant 20 mins walk away. Bus stop opposite takes you into town centre . 10 mins walk from Trent Bridge cricket ground . Will definitely come again!

Consistently pleasant, helpful staff.
The staff are extremely helpful which was a big help with me being on crutches. The room was spotless with good facilities.
There were a few little staircases and doors on the way to the room that were awkward for me.
Location perfect for short walk to Trent Bridge cricket ground also for restaurants and bus routes has small but lovely pool and lots of gym equipment, rooms were quiet, good choice at breakfast and evening meals which were well cooked and tasty, staff just lovely
