Pool and spa facilities were the best parts of our stay but did not match the rest of the hotel whatsoever.
Room was small, bed was broken and extremely uncomfortable. Very hot during the night and road noise was consistent and loud. Receptionists need to improve their customer service skills. On check out, no one bothered to ask how our stay was, the receptionist didn't even say hello to me. Just said "thanks" when I gave her the key. Breakfast was disgusting, scrambled egg sat out under heat lamps which were too hot meant a thick film covered the surface of the egg. Never returning.
Bedrooms had a nasty smell therefore my stay was very uncomfortable..
Room was spacious and clean, facilities were lovely and calming
Not very important but the tv was only channels and you couldn’t see what was on as it had no information and the restaurant was really expensive but the room, facilities and staff were great
We liked the room a lot
The toilet flush was extremely hard to push for it to work
Early in the morning a big ventilator shaft/boiler outside comes on and is really noisy!
Staff kindly let us store our bikes in the hotel which helped a lot and were generally very helpful. The gym is really good! The spa is small but a nice touch considering the size of the hotel. Reasonably priced bar.
Bit of an unpleasant smell in one of the bedrooms. Breakfast starts quite late on the weekends which meant that we couldn't use it.
The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The pool and gym area.was well maintained.
There was no proper drawer space in the room for clothing and very little space in the bathroom for toiletries. The signing in system for the pool had to be done every day which was a bit annoying.
Breakfast was very good. We had stayed at the Beeches before a few years ago so we knew it was good.
Out of your control but hotel was in a busy part of town and we ate not used to city driving
Great gym and pool. Offered iced lemon drink and complimentary ice cream for all guests as very hot day.
It was very hot day for UK and no air conditioning. The room was very hot and humid and small fan didn’t help us get a good night’s sleep.
It was a long waybtomour room, ith stairs going up and down then back up again.
The location was good, nice restaurants and shops just a 5 min drive away. The room was clean, cannot fault the cleanliness of the room and bathroom.
The bar staff were nice and helpful, provided us with glasses of ice to keep drinks cool - which was more than the hotel staff did!
It was very hot and stuffy in the room, despite outside being in low 20’s and had a breeze.
Do not stay here if you want to be cool during the night. I stayed here with my husband and thankfully we only booked one night and even then we considered booking other hotel but lots locally were fully booked and we needed the location. We did even consider making the 2 hour drive back home but didn’t due to the fact we were only staying one night!
The temperature in the room was way too hot, no air con in the rooms and a very small window which could only be opened slightly due to it being on a latch. We were provided with a pedestal fan in the room (which was very noisy even on the lowest setting!) even on the highest setting it didn’t do much and by the evening was just circulating the warm air in the room.
We had to ask for another fan because the temp was unbearable. A member of staff did bring one up to the room which was broken but said it was all they had. This was after her saying there was nothing she could do about the weather. The staff on reception told us ‘we can’t control the weather’ and when checking out I was asked how the stay and the room were, I mentioned the temp and was scoffed at. There was a small freezer downstairs at reception offering free ice cream but when I looked inside it was empty, this was on the morning of check out so I didn’t mention it to anyone as I’d already been talked to rudely beforehand that morning and during the check out process. If you want a cool night stay then DO NOT stay here.

Windows had to be left open due to the heat and we had extremely noisy neighbours so not much sleep.
It was very hot when I went and they provided free water and ice cream at reception. The swimming pool and spa was shut though.
The rooms and general facilities are quite old looking - the pictures make it look a little more modern than it actually is.

Check in time was 2 pm online but our room wasn't ready until 3 pm. No AC in room, no fridge.
