I would still come back to stay, the service and staff is exceptional. Great tasting croissants

The best part of the stay was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always eager to help. The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

Service was slow at the coffee shop- it took a long time for food to be prepared. The hallway carpets had a musty smell.

Ok, but not great.
Pros:

5 brownouts in the first night made showering next to impossible. The hot water turned cold each time too. Add to that, the shower smells like poop and it really dampens the enjoyment of the hotel. We reported the smell to Management and their solution was to put another shower head on the shower which did exactly nothing to solve the unpotable water that they are running through the building. If the water smells like poop and is not drinkable, maybe that is a sign that a large filtering system would be a good investment instead of just living with it. Its relatively clean minus a little mold in the shower that could have been cleaned up.

Pros:

We liked the location and that the room has a view of the volcano. The staff generally were very friendly and really helpful.

Cons:

Check-in staff interaction and favoritism in favor of non-filipino passport holders was not a good experience. Also there is a discrepancy on the breakfast allocation that we learned only on the second day. So communication about the rates, and benefits for future needs to really be improved.

Pros:

Room was awesome but i think u should improve when it comes to food - we went to italian restaurant and we complain because of the under cooked chicken and Fish n chips we ordered was not fresh anymore

Please maintain the cleanliness of the pool . We were supposed to swim but it was dirty

My go-to hotel in Legazpi
Pros:

As always, having awesome stay here. Great value for money and time. The location is so convenient to the city center. Staff are all friendly and professional. The room is clean and smells nice. Wifi is fast too - great for those working offsite. 😊

This is a hotel that could be so much better with a little effort
Pros:

The housekeeping was very good and check in and out was efficient. The staff on the door and security were extremely helpful. The hotel is pleasant but could be so much better

I would strongly recommend that the manager visits the Modala Beach Resort in Panglao to better understand how a hotel should function and how to train up responsive and efficient staff, particularly in the restaurants and bar

Cons:

Restaurant service was absolutely hopeless, replenishment of food at breakfast was really tardy with a very limited amount of fruit, primarily water melon - it could have been so much better. There was a total failure to top up butter, jam and many of the cooked foods regardless of the time we attended. We tried various bars, one drink would arrive but not the others, two gins came but only one tonic, one meal would be served but not the others. This was the same across all the restaurants
There was an unpleasant smell from the shower in our room and the drainage of the water was very slow
I don’t think that the carpets in the corridors had been washed for a long time as they smelt
We had to change rooms as we extended our stay and it was extremely difficult to get the staff on reception to tell us which rooms we were going to be moved to. Our niece, who was also staying had to move to the room next door for an additional night which seems ridiculous as nobody knows which room they will be staying in when they arrive

Attentive staff, great location
Pros:

Friendly and attentive staff, especially Zie who fixed our tour arrangements and regularly checked on us to make sure all was going well.

Cons:

I just wish the roofdeck was open in the early morning (instead of 11) when the chance of viewing entire volcano is greatest.
