Great location for a short stay.
Pros:

Great location. Room was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Music was loud late on a Saturday night but it is above the Belgian Beer Cafe so that was expected. Room had a door/window thing to a hallway so no natural light. Free drink was a bit awkward cause the cafe guy told our server to give us a smaller size.

Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable, excellent location and great value for money.
Pros:

Fantastic location, close to everything. Very spacious rooms, perfect for our family of five. 2 bathrooms felt very extravagant.

Cons:

It was quite noisy, but we did expect this being in a busy part of town above a pub. Ear plugs were provided which was a plus. There was a musty, smokey smell that was probably coming up from downstairs, air quality in the room could have been improved with an air purifier.

Historic Hotel (rooms modern) in a great location at a very reasonable price
Pros:

Great location on corner of King and Murray, near my conference location.
Upstairs accommodation is via a beautiful wooden staircase of the original 1890's City Hotel with plenty of original features throughout the property. The surrounding streets have plenty of repurposed warehouses and buildings of a similar period.
Got 2 free beer vouchers to use downstairs 🍻

Cons:

I didn't mind, but music downstairs until 11pm may bother some people.
Sorted with earplugs if wanting to sleep earlier

Pros:

Location is good and the outdoor tables provide a great spot for people watching while enjoying a beer.

Cons:

Cold, bitter coffee. We ordered the special eggs on toast at $12.50 which is good value. The toast wasn't buttered and it was very hard and dry. Butter portions were provided, however, you had to remove the eggs to butter the toast.

Basic, cheap and cheerful
Pros:

Special offer on weekend breakfast was OK. bed was comfortable, nice size TV and the fridge was nice and cold. Cold AC and a roomy shower.

Cons:

Had difficulties connecting to WiFi. Room was a little small and basic and for the first part of our stay, the housekeeping was not as good as it could have been. We asked for rooms with a desk but only one room had one. Little noisy some nights, but they did supply earplugs.

Way too noisy, will never stay again. No sleep they have earplugs there for a reason but still no good. Street noise outside, people yelling & screaming big trucks emptying skip bins outside window very early hours 😵‍💫🤦‍♀️

Great value for money and a brilliant location

Good food and drink

Cons:

Nobody answered the phone to check in. Had to go to bar in the end. Noisy in the rooms from the bar which is expected and noisy from workers in the morning.
