The interior design of the room is exquisite. We loved the full height window bump out. A great spot to sit and read. Plus, it throws tons of daylight into the room. The entire hotel, the hallways and lobby are beautifully designed.
We liked the Cafe Nero coffee shop right next door and Margeaux bar and restaurant a half a block up the avenue.
The overhead lighting did not dim adequately for us. But the bedside sconces were dimmable and that made them work as mood lighting and for reading.
The hotel is in an excellent location, directly across the street from Porter Station on the Red Line. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Although they made it clear that it could not be guaranteed, they were able to accommodate my requests for early check-in and parking.
The room was generally clean, though many of the surfaces, especially the shelves, were quite dusty. The air conditioning unit kept the room cool, but it emitted a buzzing sound every few minutes throughout the night. Additionally, the LED lights on either side of the bed flickered badly.
Convenient location
Towels do not dry between showers
Very easy access to the train station. Very nice restaurants and bagel place nearby. Close to Harvard and MIT
Very clean. Has gym facilities and is very quiet
Great location at Porter Sq across street from Red Line MBTA; walking distance to relatives and nice cafe Nero next door. Also a real window that opens for ventilation. How about that?
Can always do without those ridiculous down comforters which you have got to throw off or else turn AC down to arctic temp.Egad.
Quaint hotel that is clean and comfortable. Easy access to the redline and rideshares.
