Quite a nice large room with good shower and bath tub. Good selection of tea/coffee.
Poor outlook from window. Bed large but too soft a mattress. Bar and confectionary items far too expensive.
The staff.

Modern Facilities
Check in was delayed an hour, was told we were given a late checkout as compensation.
A female worker entered our room at 9am while we were still in bed
Professional, spotless and luxurious
Beautiful room and bed was great.
I ordered dinner on the ipad and a delivery time was selected in 40 mins as the earliest delivery. I waited an hour and then called In Room Services (IRS). They put me through to room service and they said they had not received my order. They then took my order which arrived 30 minutes or so later. The meal was excellent. Then i decided to go to sleep about 9.30pm and tried to turn the lights off. The chandelier (about 2 feet high and in circumference) would not turn off and as it was at the end of my bed sleep was not going to happen. I tried every switch and all options on the ipad and couldn't work it out. Called IRS and the lady checked the schematics for the room after we went through all options re switches in room. She said it is a motion activated light and in 10 mins it would turn off. I commented I had never heard of a motion activated light in a motel let alone at the foot of the bed. I waited 20 mins and still on. I called IRS and after another explanation she said someone from maintenance would be in touch in 5 to 10 mins. This did not happen and 20 mins later I called IRS again. This time she still didn't know what to do and I asked to speak to a manager. He came on the line and i explained everything again. He said someone would be up to the room soon which they did. A hotel employee who continually referred to me as mate arrived with another bloke with a ladder who was introduced as the electrician. Mate asked me how I was going and got a rather curt reply that I had been up all day coming from Melbourne and just wanted to go to sleep and couldn't get the light to turn off. He introduced the electrician? I just said do whatever you have to and turn the light off so I can get to sleep. He ended up isolating the light and went on to commence telling me why it was faulty and what he would do tomorrow to fix it. I informed them both I couldn't care what they did tomorrow as I just wanted to get to sleep tonight.
