Pros:

Das Hotel ist zwar schon in die Jahre gekommen, kennt man ja von Italien, aber es war sauber, das Personal freundlich, das Frühstück super und die Lage einfach top. Der Pool sowie die Poolbar waren super, und es würde sogar eine kleine Liegewiese mit natürlichen Schatten geben.

In terms of value for money, it was a terrible disappointment
Cons:

Where should I even start… I have no idea how this hotel managed to get 4 stars. The rooms are terribly outdated, and cleanliness was nowhere to be found. The fact that you have to pay extra for sunbeds at the hotel pool is, in my opinion, a total rip-off for guests. But the biggest problem wasn't even the hotel itself (although the rest of our family stayed at a 3-star hotel that was light-years ahead of this one in quality).
The biggest issue was with the front desk, or more specifically, with one single "gentleman." The older guy with glasses either hates what he does or is just exceptionally rude to foreign guests… Upon our arrival, my partner and I inquired at the counter about checking in, and he informed us that check-in was available from 1:00 PM. That was fine; we had arrived at 12:00 PM, so we sat down in the waiting area. Around 12:45 PM, an Italian couple arrived whom he greeted with a huge smile and checked them in immediately, despite clearly seeing that we had already been waiting for almost an hour.
Encouraged by this, we walked up to the desk, at which point he smiled and told us that we would have to wait another hour for our room… At that moment, I honestly felt like pulling him across the counter 😊. After this, we waited again for another three-quarters of an hour until one of his female colleagues (who was extremely nice to us the entire time) looked at us and immediately called us over to ask why we were still waiting. The guy with glasses didn't even look at us… The lady then informed us that our room had been ready for a long time and handed over the key.
I have no idea how a hotel can afford to employ such a trashy front desk agent. If I did my job like that, I would have been unemployed a long time ago. This kind of attitude terribly ruins the hotel's reputation..
