This is such a unique and beautiful property. You truly feel as if you are a part of history while staying there. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was a great spread. You're right in the middle of the historic fort and getting around is really easy.

I loved the building. What a first entrance in Uzbekistan for us! The room is humble but comfortable and breakfast is amazing! The best fruit we had in the whole trip. Very good experience
They offer tours to the fortress and you are basically hiring a driver that doesn't say a word in the whole trip and drops you to do your thing in the fortress. He took us to a very nice and local place for lunch, though

Unique experience to stay in a room in this large madrassa. Room was comfortable, with separate bathroom. From the balcony/walkway outside the entrance to our room on the upper floor we could sit on a small bench and look out onto the courtyard of the madrassa/hotel. Breakfast was in a separate converted madrassa next door.
Breakfast offerings could have been better. During the day, many tour groups come into the courtyard of the hotel/madrassa

Location is perfect, easy access to one of the main gates and walking distance to all main sites
I found the charge for laundry excessive, same for bottled water. Overall the price for a night is much higher than properties nearby, but if you want to experience the history it is a great choice.
This hotel was a huge surprise. I had read before that the building is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located within the old town, but I never imagined it would be this beautiful. The hotel was converted from an old madrasa, preserving the building’s original features. In the morning, we ran into tour groups in the hallway who had come to admire our hotel. Breakfast is served in a neighboring madrasa, which is an even more beautiful building. Don’t miss it under any circumstances, but keep in mind that some of the smallest rooms don’t have windows—only the bathroom does.
