Absolutely beautiful resort. So much to do for the whole family. Food options were great. Staff was amazing. We were truly sad to leave.
No bad review from us.
Breakfast buffet was subpar. Pancakes where hard around the edges from sitting out, the pastries were a little stale too. Not much selection for eggs, eggs benedict was awful.
The indoor pool was not as clean as it should be for a high end resort. The bottom of the zero walk in area had slimy, slick spots the kids kept slipping on and you could see grime on the tiles around the edge of the pool just above the water line. Expected cleaner pools.
Great location , room was very nice with 2 large windows . Close to the airport.
It’s a beautiful place and huge, room was nice and spacious. Staff was helpful and accommodating.
It’s very busy, like almost too crowded. We had dinner at the spots bar and it was terrible where we almost thought we would be sick with food poisoning. Drove to get food, don’t eat the overpriced awful food.
I wanted to highlight the valet and porter services. At check out , these men and women were moving in a systematic, organized, and most importantly expeditious manner. The gentleman, Brandon and Jalen as well as the Valet, Michael David And Paulo, were helpful at securing my luggage, protecting my vehicle throughout my stay and helping me greatly in my departure. I would recommend this resort to anyone who is wanting a total experience and great location. Thank you staff of the Gaylord Rockies.

Amazing facility! Great places to eat and extremely clean!
Be ware of substandard customer for what is proclaimed to be a 5 Star experience.
Front desk was overwhelmed. Communications were via phone (reservation), while checking in, and after checkout was horrible. Staff’s guidance about my stay and billing was inconsistent with final billing. Billing inquiries appear to be a 3rd Party vs Marriott. My inquiry is going on 11 days without any clarification to my last round of questions.
Not a 5 star customer service.
We enjoyed the hotel, and the pools. We had lunch at the grain something restaurant. The pizza was very good. The service was good.
We had dinner at the cooper table it was horrible. We spent over $100 with tip and ate very little of our dinner. The breakfast croissant from the market was not good. The parking fee is ridiculous, we paid over $550 to stay at the hotel and ended up paying $51 for parking. When we got to the hotel we were told that the outside pool areas would be closed for a private event starting at 3.That was extremely disappointing since we were not informed of this when making the reservation.
Pool and restaurants are a major bonus.
Staff was rude and uninterested in helping guests.
We had a great week at the Gaylord of The Rockies. Room was very nice and spacious. Hotel staff were excellent. So much to do here and so much to see. Close to the airport as well. Nice to sit out by the multiple fire pits they have going and relax with the view of the Rocky Mountains.
The pool was nice
I was very disappointed with my experience. It felt like none of the staff were on the same page. I asked multiple employees—including the front desk, pool staff, and restaurant staff—about the local resident card, and I kept getting sent back and forth between departments. No one seemed to know anything, and I never received one. It was frustrating having to run around without getting any answers.
Later that evening, we went to Rockies Bar & Grill to order dessert to take back to our room, and we experienced the same issue. The hostess told us to order at the bar, but when we went there, the bartender told my husband he couldn't order from that spot and had to go somewhere else. It was confusing, disappointing, and honestly embarrassing. We ended up leaving without ordering anything.
When we asked the pool hostess about the local resident discount card, he gave us a strange look and said it didn't exist, which only added to the confusion since other staff had told us something different.
The restaurants throughout the resort were extremely expensive, and unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the price. We were hoping to find a casual place with reasonably priced finger foods or snacks, but there really weren't many affordable options.
Parking was another disappointment. Charging $33 per day for self-parking is excessive, especially when you're already paying resort rates.
We also expected to see the DC Super Hero experiences as advertised, but we didn't see any characters during our stay. Nearly every activity required an additional fee, and the prices were much higher than expected. Aside from the pool, there wasn't much else to do. We were also surprised there weren't more indoor shops or attractions to explore.
Overall, the resort itself is beautiful, and the pool was the highlight of our stay.
I had a very disappointing experience with the Gaylord Rockies Resort.
After my stay, I discovered that I had been charged twice. I immediately submitted a refund inquiry, but despite waiting for a response, I have never heard back from anyone. Every time I call customer service, I'm transferred to the accounting department, where no one answers the phone or returns my calls.
The lack of communication and customer service has been extremely frustrating. Mistakes can happen, but ignoring customers who are trying to resolve a billing issue is unacceptable—especially for a resort of this caliber.
I expected much better service from a hotel with Gaylord's reputation. If you're staying here, I recommend carefully reviewing your bill and keeping a close eye on your credit card charges. I hope the management takes customer concerns more seriously and improves its response to billing disputes.
I was at this location for an event held here. The charges seem pretty straightforward: room, room tax, city fees & taxes, state taxes...BUT...they charged me for both Valet and Self-Park when I only used the discounted self-park arranged my the event organizers. Wowza! These folks really want their money!!!
This was my fourth time staying at the Gaylord, and unfortunately, this visit was by far my most disappointing. I had noticed some changes during my last stay, but this experience was on a completely different level.
We booked the largest suite, paying approximately $900 per night, only to discover that it had just one window. The living room also had a sloped wall that made it feel more like an attic than a luxury suite. For a suite at that price point, it was not at all what I expected.
I called the front desk and spoke with Alex, explaining that I am very claustrophobic and needed a room with more natural light and more than one window. I was told the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing she could do.
I then went to the front desk and spoke with Rania (I may have her name misspelled), who called Alex. During their conversation, she turned away from me, and I was told Alex couldn't come out to speak with me but would call me instead. When she did, I was again told there were no available rooms.
What bothered me most was that no one seemed interested in finding another solution. Even if another suite wasn't available, I was never offered the option of downgrading to a room with more windows so that I could at least be comfortable.
It wasn't until the day before we were scheduled to leave that I spoke with Brent, who was wonderful. He listened, understood my concerns, and was able to find us another room. His professionalism and willingness to help made a huge difference, and I truly appreciated him.
I want to be fair and acknowledge that some of the staff were amazing. The employees at the FedEx Office were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The pool wait staff were also wonderful—attentive, personable, and exactly the type of service I remembered from my previous stays. Brent also deserves recognition for actually listening and trying to resolve the situation.
Unfortunately, that level of hospitality was not consistent throughout the property, and I simply did not feel welcome this time.
We also had multiple issues with food service. At the sports bar, we waited approximately 30 minutes for our meal, only for the food to arrive cold. We sent it back and then waited another 30 minutes for it to be remade.
We also ordered coffee and breakfast from the Starbucks inside the Gaylord. Our order was incorrect, and the food was overcooked, so we had to take it back and have it remade as well. I understand that mistakes happen, but when problem after problem occurs during the same stay, it becomes difficult to overlook.
As a business owner, I believe the way you make your customers feel matters. When someone brings a concern to you, especially a returning customer, they should feel heard and valued—not dismissed.
When I first stayed at the Gaylord, I loved it so much that I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. Over the years, I've brought my family here, brought clients here, and recommended the property because I genuinely enjoyed the experience. That is why this stay was so disappointing.
What made it even more disappointing was what happened after I submitted my hotel review. After taking the time to explain everything that occurred, I received what appeared to be an automated response essentially saying they were sorry I had that experience and hoped my next stay would be better.
That response said a lot to me.
After paying approximately $900 a night and experiencing this level of service, I expected more than a generic response and a hope that "next time will be better." At this price point, guests shouldn't have to hope their next experience will be better. The experience should reflect the level of service and hospitality that a luxury property promises.
Unfortunately, after this stay and the response that followed, I can't simply assume there will be a "next time."
I truly loved the Gaylord, which is why I continued returning and bringing other people with me. But loyalty has to go both ways. This experience has changed the way I feel about the property, and for the first time since I began staying here, I am actively looking at other options.
What a great property! Platinum Elite review. Check in was very easy, Ivana was super friendly and welcoming, answered all of our questions and even gave us some helpful tips! We were able to get early check in which was a nice bonus. The room was spacious and clean, housekeeping service was timely. The indoor pool was great for the kids, we went daily, they have life vests for little kids, it’s heated and 2 indoor water slides. The outdoor pool is also very nice, has a smaller slide and infinity spillover feature. The lazy river is quite long, and even at its busiest, we never had trouble finding tubes to get in. We dined at many of the restaurants on site, most were excellent, however unfortunately the Steak House Old Hickory fell short on both service and food expectations. Housekeeping was adequate, we would leave for daytime activities. By the time we came back the room was always cleaned. Some of the restaurants will give you a s’mores kit if you have dinner there so be sure to ask. There are many fire pits around the property always a place to sit by one and relax. Plenty of lawn games and space for kids to run around in the evenings outside. Sunset with the mountains in the backdrop is spectacular. I would definitely at least plan one evening to make sure you see it. Airport is very close maybe 20 minutes. We rented a car from the airport Hertz, parking at the hotel was easy and never had to spend too much time trying to find a spot. One suggestion if you plan to spend a lot of time outside in the evenings is it can get breezy and chilly so bring a light sweater for adults and kids even a blanket for the little ones if you plan to sit out by the fire pits.
