Clifden Downtown Gem
Pros:

What a charming hotel in downtown Clifden. Staff were helpful and attentive. Wonderful breakfast. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

A home from home in Clifden
Pros:

10/10 for everything.

What a lovely welcoming place to stay and in a most beautiful part of the country.

We checked in on Sunday and left this morning. As a professional carpet and upholstery cleaner I can't help but keep an eye out for issues especially in a busy Hotel. This place is spotless from top to bottom. Nothing was too much for staff and management. The food in the restaurant was devine! I had the rack of lamb which was cooked to perfection. The rooms were clean warm and comfortable and given how much there is to do in Clifden and the surrounding areas we weren't in the room that much during the day anyway. A beautiful friendly town full of character and characters!

Through my professional experience I unfortunately haven't come across many hotels like this. There is a feeling in this hotel that can only be achieved when everything is in harmony, staff are happy and feel respected and appreciated. This can only be achieved by talented and hard working management and that's exactly what I have experienced this week at Foyles Hotel. I cannot wait to come back.

Traditional hospitality in a traditional hotel with great food, drink and live music.
Pros:

The location in the middle of town was handy and car parking wasn't too inconvenient considering the lack of a dedicated hotel car park. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Mullarky's Bar was the gem of the hotel, and the live music was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was included in the rate and the choice was good. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The ambience of a residents' lounge area was a great advantage to the feel of the hotel.

Cons:

Some items in the breakfast buffet had run out quite early. The hot water in the shower/bath was a little temperamental at times, not always as hot as it should be with a low pressure. The toilet paper, as with every hotel we stayed in in Ireland was thin and in small sheets - no big deal, but worth you being aware!

Wonderful location for all the area has to offer
Pros:

Breakfast was wonderful, salmon, kippers, apple rhubarb mix what a breakfast and of course a traditional Irish breakfast. Staff were wonderful, friendly and warm. Great place

Pros:

3rd time staying at Foyles and as always excellent staying. Staff always so friendly and welcoming. Comfortable bed very clean room. Great music in Mularkeys bar over the wkend.

Cons:

Theres nothing i dont like in the foyles.

The room was very quiet, the food super good and free carpark

Cons:

The room was very dark as two windows had been partially blocked and and almost to high to be opened, only one small window on the side wasn't blocked with a direct access to a small roof, it felt claustrophobic, that's the only negative thing , everything else was great

We had a great stay in a generous sized room, great location & excellent breakfasts
Pros:

This is a characterful hotel in the centre of Clifden, and once you walk thru the entrance you are in a peaceful world of great & friendly service, with nice atmosphere & helpful staff

Cons:

Pity no lift to 2nd floor!
