Pros:

Comfortable bed, and clean room.

Cons:

Bar only sold beer and wine. No coffee available for guests, and not much for purchase at the pantry. No good restaurants near by.

Pros:

I had a very disappointing experience with voco St. Augustine Historic Area. I booked a reservation and realized within 18 minutes that the rate was not what I intended to reserve. When I called the front desk to request a cancellation, the staff member refused to provide their name, told me there were no supervisors or managers on duty, and then hung up on me.

As a Platinum member of IHG One Rewards, this level of customer service was especially disappointing. I tried calling back multiple times, but there is no voicemail, and the front desk would not answer the phone.

I understand that booking issues can happen, but the lack of professionalism and accountability was extremely frustrating. Based on the service I received, I would not recommend this hotel.

Close to St Augustine and Bridge of Lions to Anastasia Island where hotel is located
Pros:

Cons: a) Room smelled. Don't know why - perhaps shower drain was my guess. b) Shower was the smallest width that I'd been in on hotel stays. Just enough room and I'm male & under 200lbs. Could be challenging for heavier set folk.
Pros - several: 1) Our room was clean and tidy. 2) Room well decorated and quiet. 3) Location of hotel within couple blocks of the drawbridge - Bridge of Lions and easy to walk from the Anastasia island hotel to St Augustine historical district and fort. 4) Front desk personnel helpful and worked with me on some billing complications that I created upon check-in. 5) Reported that was a chef on staff for breakfast, but my work hours prevented me from eating so...am sure it was good. 6) Room value was good as I was travelling on business and was allowed to use the IHG Gov't rates.

Cozy and relaxing vibe
Pros:

I really liked how minimalistic and cozy this hotel is. The staff were friendly, though they seemed a bit unsure about technical things like how breakfast works, switching the credit card on file and welcome points were never offered for Platinum members. The hotel does have a convenient parking space, which is a plus. It would have been even better if the on-site restaurant was fully operational. Overall, it was not a decent experience.
