Die Nähe zum Zentrum.

Cons:

Der Grund meiner Reise war ein Konzert. Der Pianist hatte sich verletzt und das Konzert musste abgesagt bzw. verschoben werden. Das Hotel war nicht bereit zu stornieren. Kurzfristiges Denken, ich komme deshalb nicht wieder, obwohl ich mehrmals im Jahr in Ischl nächtige.

beautiful, historical & expensive hotel in excellent location with poor customer service

Historical hotel with beautiful environment near river side.
Delicious breakfast with a great variety of hams & cheese

Cons:

The young lady at the reception desk demonstrated a poor understanding of customer service. For instance, when I asked for information about local bus routes, she replied dismissively, “I don’t know. I don’t own the bus company!”

On another occasion, when I mentioned having difficulty accessing the balcony, she responded in a condescending tone: “You just open the door and go out!” In reality, the balcony door could only be opened like a regular door in one direction; I opened it the opposite way, like an incline window—a design I had never encountered anywhere else in the world.

Furthermore, when I requested hot water from the hotel restaurant, the waiter responded abruptly, saying, “You need to pay for hot water!”

Such poor customer service sadly undermined the overall experience at what is otherwise a fantastic, beautiful, historical and expensive hotel in an excellent location.

Bad value for money
Cons:

Quite old and overrated, room is very small, old furniture, no door between the room and bathroom, smelling toilet. Pictures are taken with the wide angle camera, so it overestimated the expectations.
Overall too expensive for such room.
