Great staff. Nice room. Excellent common room/ lounge

Cons:

Bit noisy on Saturday night. Pub closed at 11, but a few people lingered on outside for a while after that

The location was convenient.

Cons:

The accommodation description does not mention that there is a pub located directly downstairs. On weekends, they host parties downstairs until 11am, and the noise was extremely loud in our room. Due to the lack of sound insulation, everything was shaking, making it very difficult to sleep and resulting in a very unpleasant experience.
What was particularly disappointing was that we were not warned about the pub or the weekend parties, not even when we arrived and paid for the room.

Pros:

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Common room was comfortable and an asset for our large group.

Cons:

It was hard to communicate with the staff before arrival. Only 2 toilets and showers which is fine for most stays, but for a large group of 20 it was a bit stretched.

Love staying in this hotel.
Pros:

Cleanliness , peaceful location good facilities.

Cons:

Smell of cigarettes smoke from the floor below on the landing wafting into the dinning room shared room as I’m an asthmatic it wasn’t pleasant.

Pros:

A beautiful historic pub with a warm community atmosphere, set in a lovely area. The dinners downstairs were excellent, the room clean, the bed was comfortable, and the traditional fixtures added plenty of character. The bathroom and shower were spacious, spotlessly clean, and fitted to a high standard. An excellent stay overall.
