This is our third stay but disappointed. Superior room was dark and needed some work. Check in not great being at the bar and no matter where you stand with luggage behind others you block the bar/seats/corridor to the outside.
Breakfast average.
Plenty of parking. Good location.
Was lovely hotel very good breakfast and lovely room over canals
Was disappointed on Thursday night went back at 8 30pm and was told food was finished
Opposite Skipton stn, upmarket decor, smart professional staff, reasonably priced, relaxing bar area. Highly recommended.
Great location close to the town centre. Lovely walk along the canal to the centre.
Nothing everything was fine.
Very clean, staff very friendly and food spot on. It was literally yards to the canal towpath and everything was a short walks distance away.
Plumbing pipes were noisy
Lovely stay, room clean and comfy
Friendly staff, great location.
Good breakfast selection, Would stay again
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very nice. We will stay here again. The location was spot on, a nice little stroll to the market place.
Some of the staff were a bit miserable but overall they were good.
Breakfast, Dinner Staff
Toilet a bit cramped
We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Dale's room.Which was comfortable, and clean. The hotel is in an ideal location for walking into town.We had the evening meal was good.particularly for my partner who is vegan. She enjoyed two lovely meals, which is seldom the case being vegan. So that was much appreciated.
Had a lovely stay here, with friendly staff and amazing food in their rhubarb restaurant! Will definitely be returning!
We booked a canal side twin room and paid extra for early as we had booked a canal boat trip (which was brilliant). The room and facilities were excellent although on the morning of our departure the lift was not working. The room was spotless and the view over the canal was superb. Breakfast was included and was excellent. We would (and probably will) stay here again.
As this was our first time in Skipton and not knowing the area, we booked an evening meal in the Rhubarb restaurant which was quite disappointing, we saw the menu before and it looked very good however the quality was not so good - my venison was quite tough. We did get a reduction off our final bill.
My Grandparents came to stay for 4 nights. The room was sat above the kitchen and constantly smelt of food, the kitchen door was being slammed from 7am-10pm all day and they couldn’t sleep. The rooms floor was stained and the bathroom was so small they had to manoeuvre to move round the door.
Staff were polite but for the price the rooms floor was unacceptable .
We had a wonderful stay at Herriots Hotel in Skipton. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The food was excellent, with great choice at breakfast. And the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout, providing outstanding service and making us feel at home. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short walk to Skipton town center and the railway station. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d happily stay here again.
Gents Toilets so wiffy facing the open door to the kitchen! Put us off both dining and using the facilities! Urinals in such an upmarket and expensive venue we decided to eat in Morrisons!
Reception at the end of the bar
This is a superb hotel. Great food and exceptional staff.
