Would not stay here again staff were rude and inedible breakfast

Cons:

Breakfast terrible and staff didn't care less. Booked this for my inlaws as a treat and the breakfast really let you down. When they have feedback when asked staff were not interested in the slightest smiled rolled eyes and walked off. You need a decent chef and staff to take a hospitality course. Terrible customer service at breakfast

Always a good stay. Wish bar had been open until 11pm as stated.
Pros:

We have booked the same room twice and it is great. Breakfast had improved to last year.

The bar was supposed to be open until 11pm but on a couple of nights was shut early.

Pros:

Evening meal good but breakfast was cold. Our room seemed to have a large boiler in it that made the room extremely hot. Lovely bedroom and bathroom . Great location . Great staff.

Pros:

Very attentive and efficient staff, whether at Reception or in the Restaurant. The ambience was helped by there being no Saturday night parties/weddings as a couple of the Function Rooms are on the second floor where I was staying. Location - right opposite Skiption Railway Station, but remarkably quiet given the Hotel is on the main road, but it is just out of town which helps. Good food both at breakfast (0730 M-F & 0800 Sat/Sun) and dinner (ate there every night). In the morning you exit the Hotel via the side entrance; better for me as it avoids steps!

Cons:

IDEALLY, a lift would help but given the building I know that's unlikely to happen (I did know there was no lift beforehand). Would be nice if breakfast started earlier at the weekends (eg 0730 as on Monday to Friday).

Wenn wir nochmals nach Skipton kommen, ist das Hotel unsere erste Wahl.
Pros:

Ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit einem großen Badezimmer. Bequemes Bett und gemütliche Ausstattung. Das "englische Frühstück" war immer reichhaltig und auch die sonstigen Angebote wie Cerealien waren in überzeugender Menge aufgetischt.
Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal zu allen Tageszeiten.
Leckere Menüs im angeschlossenen Restaurant.

Cons:

Der Aufenthalt hätte deutlich länger ausfallen können!!!!

Handy for Railway Station! Clean comfy room. The food was excellent. Staff very friendly! Right next to canal.

Pros:

We stayed in the Heriot House which is the beautiful Georgian former manor house next door to the hotel. Something I wasn't made aware of prior to staying. However this was a wonderful surprise as the house was beautiful. The rooms were amazing and the rear of the property and private parking was a real bonus. We beds were comfy and our bathroom had a gorgeous freestanding bath which was lovely. The cooked breakfast was very good.

Cons:

I felt the facilities were a little lacking. Poor selection of teas and coffees with no herbal/ fruit tea, no hot chocolate or complimentary biscuits in the room.. The body wash bottle was half empty and there was no hand/body cream in the bathroom. There was also no bottled water which is important. These seem like small points however when spending similar per night in other hotels recently the facilities have been of a higher standard.
The menu in the Rhubarb restaurant was very limited. So were the breakfast options both cooked and continental/buffet options.
