Pros:

Location was excellent, only 1 block from Pike Place Market and easy walk to lots of local spots. The room was also very cute with a classic modern feel and excellent Diptyque amenities.

Cons:

My room had no view. Both windows looked directly at another part of the building about 20 feet away and I could see into others rooms and they could see into mine if the blinds weren't drawn.

Fantastic Location!!!!!
Pros:

Fantastic location in the heart of Seattle, walking distance to all attractions. Very unique, retro style hotel with great lobby for relaxing. Friendly front desk, checked us in early and kept our suitcases until our cruise departure. Walking distance to the cruise port (down the hill).

Understaffed and underwhelmed. Not boutique but chain hotel

The service in this hotel was barebones. Upon arrival late afternoon, the lobby was deserted and no staff was to be found anywhere so I could not check in after a long journey. I tried calling by the phone rang in front of me and the central number gave me a remote call center who could offer nothing. After 15-20 minutes someone slowly strolled in and offered no apology. There isn’t a doorman despite two heavy swinging doors which don’t stay open leaving guests to help other guests with their luggage. A single small elevator means lots of waiting.

Additionally, I had made two reservations and wanted to cancel one. I sent multiple emails over several days but never received a reply. I finally made an overseas call to the call center and learned my reservation was never cancelled. So email customer service, even though they explicitly say you can email them, is just ignored.

The bed was comfortable and the minibar was stocked but the room was tiny and the old building has decrepit old single-pane windows so that all the street noise is heard.

So much better than the Marriott! Lovely place to stay in Seattle

After a terrible experience at Seattle Marriott Waterfront we spent the second leg of our Seattle stay at Palihotel Seattle. What a fantastic choice this was. The hotel is clean, with very funky decor throughout. Our room was huge with a comfy bed and lovely shower. We arrived during the heatwave and unfortunately our rooms air con was not working. We were immediately offered two different rooms, however they were much smaller. The hotel then provided 2 high power fans, which kept the room cool. A fantastic stay, especially after our Marriott disaster. Will definitely stay here again.
