The staff were very kind and helpful. They provided a wheelchair for my father. Also provided extra tea, sugar & milk.There was a power cut that day, I had been informed and the power came back slightly delayed.
The cups in the rooms were ridiculously small to make a cup of tea. We asked for a room on ground floor close to reception. It was on ground floor but not that close room 106. My dad has breathing difficulties.

Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room wasn’t very clean, the bed smelt damp and the bathroom needed a “good scrub”.
The location is excellent, easy access to the beach and ferry port.
The evening meal was good value.
The cooked breakfast isn't available until 7.30 which doesn't fit well with the ferry timetable and as this hotel is used by ferry passengers it made for a rushed breakfast.

The only thing this place has going for it is it's location and proximity to Rosslare Ferry Port.
We noticed a strange musty smell as soon as we entered the hotel which was not pleasant. There was loose carpet on the top step of the stairs which was to my mind a dangerous trip hazard. Carpets were dirty, stained and worn both in the corridor and the room. The room itself was very tired with lots of chipped paint and dirty floors. The bathroom tiles were falling off the walls, there was mould on the ceiling and hairs left in the shower. The mattress had a significant dip in the middle of it and all the springs could be felt so it was impossible to sleep. The corridor to the breakfast room had a leak in the ceiling and the lino floors were worn out and split. Breakfast was cereal and toast as we needed to leave earlier that their usual breakfast hours to catch a ferry. Most of the other guests were also in this situation, and I would assume this is usually the case, so I would have thought the hotel should have been able to cater for this and at least provide fresh tea and coffee. Would not recommend.

Very tired facilities - everything tacky and in need of deep clean. The carpet in the restaurant was disgusting it was so dirty. Bathroom floor vinyl not even adhered to floor. One of the worst breakfasts we have ever had. Come on Ireland - you can do far better. Made me ashamed to be Irish. Lovely staff but extremely short staffed.
