A natural chic and boho getaway to unwind and relax on the Aegean riviera.
Pros:

Layla Gocek is a beautiful boho home nestled in a gorgeous natural landscape. You feel as if you are transported to another country. 10 min away from Gocek. Very calm in the middle of nature, the perfect place to disconnect. The family owning the place is super welcoming and makes you feel at home. Breakfast is very rich. The crowd is international and you end up meeting new interesting people. Animal friendly and for animal lovers. For couples or a group of friends.

Cons:

Since the venue is surrounded by nature there were lots of flies. Also it was mainly due to the heat. But it’s very understandable.

Delightful stay
Pros:

Delightful stay. Beautiful pool and surroundings. Fun having the animals around. Great location. Layla was charming and invited us to a fun night in Gojek. Staff made real effort to accommodate guest with mobility issues. Would have loved to stay longer. Had 5 rooms for big family gathering.

Cons:

A few things a bit tatty (wall paper peeling on one room, one room with shower half working) but nothing major.

Tense atmosphere - feels like White Lotus
Pros:

Love the pool! Very peaceful and enjoyable.

Cons:

The atmosphere here is incredibly tense. The owners and their friends / family sort of dominate the space and the staff are unbelievably on edge trying to make it right for them. You end up feeling like an inconvenience and definitely not the priority - even a request as simple as “please can I order a bottle of still water” is met with an exasperated look at the manager’s watch. I’m pregnant and everywhere else I stayed in Turkey was so hospitable and lovely - Layla Gocek felt the opposite.

We came a couple years ago when there was some sort of influencer event that we believed created this same atmosphere. We returned to the hotel this holiday for one night because it’s so close to the airport and we remembered how gorgeous the pool is and we thought our first experience of a tense, cliquey atmosphere was a one-off due to the event - it definitely wasn’t!

The room we stayed in both times (deluxe double) smelt damp and sulphury - again, both times! And the evening food was unpleasant (mussels brought to the table all closed and when my brother pointed this out and sent them back, they returned a cold plate of mussels that all had been forced open - we can only assume this was just the same plate but when we flagged this they said we were wrong but agreed to take the mussels off the bill anyway). Again, the staff referenced the fact that the owner enjoys his food there every night so we couldn’t be correct… so bizarre - if you’ve seen White Lotus, that’s the atmosphere to expect - and equally as beautiful a pool setting!

Heavenly except for so many dogs and expensive food.
Pros:

The pool room was lovely, large and the most comfortable of beds. I slept like a baby. Great to have a fridge and space to hang everything up and the outside chairs and both pools were lovely too. Just a very beautiful and relaxing place.

Cons:

The dogs.. so many dogs.. one day i counted 8 different ones. Guests are allowed to bring them and the owner has 3 i think. I have asthma and am allergic to dogs and cats. Had i have know i would not have booked. I had to make sure i covered every bit of fabric (chairs/sunbeds, sofa) before i sat on it to prevent an asthma attack. Just too many and it spoilt it as you also see dog poo about and them in the pools. We even saw a guest put their dog in the little pool. So disgusting. It is a heavenly place and we loved our stay but i probably wouldn't return because of the dogs. I love them but its not a holiday being around barking/playing dogs that keep coming up to you. I could cope with one but not 8. Also food is ridiculously expensive so we went into gocek each night which is lovely but 10euro taxi each way. Worth it tho as its 10 euro just for an ice cream or drink.

Pros:

Die Anlage ist traumhaft schön, grün und friedlich. Das Personal ist sehr nett.

Cons:

Durch die freilaufenden Tiere, die ihre Geschäfte auf allen Flächen hinterlassen könnte es sauberer sein. Das Zimmer ist großzügig, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Lage ist außerhalb von Göcek - anreise besser mit Auto.

Pros:

El entorno es precioso. Jardín magnífico. El desayuno era bueno. Fueron en todo momento muy amables.

Cons:

La playa de los alrededores estaba muy sucia y no era nada apetecible.
En cuanto a lasintalaciones se le notaba que había pasado tiempo. Había hamacas rotas y la iluminacion exterior se veía poco cuidada y sucia.
En cuanto al baño de la habitacion se veía también ya con signos evidentes de uso y con un poco de olor alcantarilla.
En general el hotel esta bien, es muy bonito pero empieza a tener signos de estar usado y poco reparado. Lo que lo compensa todo es la naturaleza que rodea las habitaciones y la piscina.

Nice hotel but don’t expect 4 star quality.
Pros:

The hotel is in a beautiful, secluded location, surrounded by nature and just a short walk from the sea. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It has two pools and large rooms.

Cons:

The rooms are expensive for what you receive. The food is also overpriced. We paid around €300 per night, and on one occasion we had to remind the staff to clean our room. At breakfast, guests are charged extra for espresso and freshly squeezed juice, which I find unacceptable at this price point. While the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the bathroom felt dated, and the shower leaked water onto the floor due to the shower screen design.
