Modern and retro - clean and spacious - close to 95 for convenience - parking - fast retrieval of car
no magnifying mirror in bathroom - breakfast too late -
Hosted a room block here for my son's wedding and we really had a great experience. Itchell was super easy to work with and professional, and the rooms were really nice. Several guests commented on how nice the rooms were. The front desk people were also really responsive to whatever questions we had.
Also hosted a brunch Sunday morning after the wedding and Irvin was great to work with. I didn't have to worry about anything. (I did worry but it wasn't necessary...) The food was tasty and the staff was great. Super easy. Many thanks for a great event! Our guests really liked the hotel and so did we!
The whole point of my stay was to rest. My husband gifted me with a stay at your hotel for Mother’s Day. So I was looking forward to to resting and sleeping late; something I don’t get to do at all. Was very disappointed that the alarm clock in the room was preset for 6:00am and woke me up. Defeated the purpose of coming to the hotel to rest.
The location was great and the room was big and clean.
I thought the bathrooms could have been better stocked: 2 bath towels per person, for example, would have been better. Also there could have been some bathroom amenities: qtips, cotton balls, etc.
Very clean, nice room, great complimentary breakfast. Convenient valet parking
The price for 1 night stay was a little high
The front desk staff and house keeping were very friendly and helpful.
The sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable and cheap. Having to constantly use the switch by the door to unlock the room lights was very inconvenient
The room is very spacious.
The furniture, bath mirror were pretty used.
I’m very disappointed with breakfast. There were 3 types of eggs, but zero meat choices. No bacon, or ham. No veggies or cut fruits.
Room size and quiet location
The heating did not work on the first night even though a mechanic came up. Breakfast was same stuff each morning Sausage and sausage--should have had bacon one morning.
Avoid at all costs! Where even to start? In general, they have a few decent people there who are trying to work with others who are both terrible at their job and/or don’t care.
We had our wedding block there which we booked nearly a year in advance. We were told we did not need to pay for gift bags to be passed out. A week before the wedding, we were told we did. It wasn’t a huge fee, so we went to the hotel to drop off the bags. The people at the front desk said we didn’t need to pay. Great! The night before the wedding I waited in the lobby at the hotel to greet a few guests. As I saw them check in, I realized they were not be given the bags that we PAID for them to pass out. I quickly reviewed this with the front desk, going over all guest reservations with them (9pm the night before my wedding…). We reviewed them on the computer and I wrote a separate list for the front desk worker with all names. Plus, each bag was labeled with the names for the guests. We check out on Sunday to see half of the bags were never passed out. When we spoke to the front desk, they said it wasn’t their fault because it was a Saturday issue and it was Sunday and there was no one to speak to about it. We were about to leave for our mini moon the next morning so we asked to not be called for a week but we would like a call back. As we are walking our guests to their cars, we get a call saying they’ll give us half of the bag fee back. HALF? After all of that? Again, incredibly poorly managed.
We get another call when we return from a manager, Tina, who agrees to give us some Marriott Points. She also agreed to give the whole bag fee back. (A good start). We explain that we also had a brunch there and we could be compensated in money off the bill since our guests were also poorly treated (people with disabilities requested certain rooms, checked with the people at the front desk and then given the wrong room, asked to carry their own belongings downstairs before being given a new room). Additionally the bagels were moldy at our brunch (I didn’t know but my MIL was sent photos the day after!!): She agreed to knock just under $100 off the bill.
Weeks later, no money had come to us. I emailed on a Thursday and Monday afternoon, no response. I then called and left a VM. I called back to see if someone else could help and the front desk said she had no boss but that they were aware of the situation. I said I knew she had a boss but not his name. The woman said again she had no boss and that I should have a good day. She then hung up on me while I was speaking.
Tina’s boss, Todd, does email me a few days later to give more Marriott Points. Yes, this is the boss who according to the front desk did not exist.
There is so many other things I could write about. The week of, we had to physically go there to get the invoice for the brunch as the guy in charge sent up a bill around double the true cost. Everyone there blamed another person for “dropping the ball”.
It’s a nice looking hotel so if you’re just looking for aesthetics, it’s not bad! But if you need any service, don’t want to be overcharged, or want actually hospitality, I would definitely go elsewhere.
DEFINITELY AVOID THEM AS A HOTEL BLOCK!
Convenience to where we were heading that night. Staff from parking valet, to staff at check in counter extremely helpful and polite!!!
I was amazing to see this hotel at over a 4 star rating. Upon entering, there was a lot of confusion around the address in which you put in your GPS and park. Once at the front desk, I was not recognized for my Marriott loyalty or explained any of my welcome points. The room was the size of a regular hotel room (this was a 1 BR suite) and was not clean (see photos). I was surprised to see a shower curtain at a newer hotel and extremely disappointed to hear that the pool was not on site and in the neighboring hotel but NOT heated so it would be too cold to take my children swimming at the indoor pool. No lotion, shower cap, or really any amenities in the room. Loud music playing until 10PM. The snack shop had one item in the freezer spread out on 15 or so shelves and many items not in stock or simply not carried. This is barely a courtyard status.
Very clean, spacious. Channel selection on the TV was very good.
The refrigerator kept coming on and going off all night making a lot of noise. The timer on the microwave was so bright all night, it was difficult to sleep....it was reflected by the mirror right into the sleeping area. The overhead light next to the closet was burned out. The water out of the bathroom faucet was incredibly hot. No parking in the garage, even though it was one of the reasons we chose that hotel.
Perfect
Clean room. Friendly staff. The location is really nice. We enjoyed our stay.
