Served it’s purpose. Could be excellent but needs some more renovations.
Pros:

Downstairs the hotel is well presented. Recently renovated bar and restaurant. Good breakfast service. Room had good mirrors and plenty of sockets.

Cons:

The stairs and landings are tired. The room was a decent size but the bathroom is small and very basic. No where to hang towels, not even a hook. Tall windows with short pulls on the blinds. Had to stand on a chair to open them!

Good for a short stay.
Pros:

Good location in low town, just a short walk to the railway lift to the upper town. Room was clean and airy. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable choice for breakfast. We were allowed to use the car park before check-in as we arrived early.

Cons:

There was a lot of traffic noise from the road outside. A couple of small maintenance issues in the room which I will be sorted before our next visit.

Good for a short stay.
Pros:

Good location, easy to find. Lovely breakfast!
Well equipped rooms.

Cons:

We booked two double room - they’re very small spaces so better for a night or two.

There were no curtains at the windows and I had to stand on the bed and lean over to reach the blind cords to close and open it - not all guests would be able to (or should have to) do this.
