Pros:

The staff and the owners were excellent and so welcoming. The atmosphere was great and busy for a Thursday night. Home brewed beer was great and the food tasty 😋

Pros:

We have been returning to the Neuadd for several years now. An exceptionally friendly and comfortable home from home, in a beautiful part of the world. Oodles of hot water, clean towels, good things to eat & drink, and not an eyelid batted, no matter how wet, muddy or bedraggled we may be after enjoying the nearby nature and landscape.

Cons:

It's very much a part of the charm of the place as it's a grade II Iisted building, but some may struggle with the stairs & uneven floors.

Great stay it a lovely old building.
Pros:

It’s a beautiful old building right in the centre of the town. Everything is only a few mins walk. It is quirky and a bit wonky which is to be expected due to its age. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome even though it was a busy bank holiday weekend.

Cons:

The rooms are a little tired.

A great place to stay
Pros:

Lovely staff. Good food. Reasonable price. Very good area for walking. This is an old style, family run hotel. They take an interest in their guests and try to be helpful in meeting their needs. Their bar had just been included in The Daily Telegraph top 50 pubs. It's pretty much how bars used to be before pub chains appeared, and I liked it. I'd probably move into the hotel if I had the time and could afford it.

Cons:

Sauce sachets in the restaurant which I repeatedly failed to open (but that's about as minor a criticism possible). Apparently there's a knack to it, but I haven't done the training.

We will be back
Pros:

The location was great, the beds were amazing, the bath was so relaxing. The food was honestly some of the best I've ever had, it was simple food but gorgeous with every mouthful.

Cons:

Nothing.

Promising but let down over simple easy to fix items.
Pros:

Breakfast excellent and staff lovely. Lovely location.

Cons:

Bathtub had what looked like toilet cleaner spots in it, floor creaked so couldn't go in there quietly, and cistern very noisy. Also whoever cleaned the room removed the bar of soap which just been opened. Fortunately I had some in my sponge bag.
Topped with TV which wouldn't work, didn't report as by the time it would have been attended to the athletics event would have passed.

Well looked after
Pros:

I travelled up to spend the night before a dog show. It was a long journey and I was delayed by road closure. They kindly allowed late check-in and the welcome when we (finally) got there was much appreciated. The bed was comfortable. My small hound was happy, plenty of space for his den, he slept well too. The packed breakfast was better than average with a real ham and cheese sandwich. Location and value were perfect for the occasion. Thanks! I hope to come for a longer stay and do some walking sometime.

Disappointed
Cons:

Twin room where the bathroom was really tiny, shower was scolding hot, no cold water, so unable to use it. As bathroom was so small it was difficult to wash in the sink! The room was very noisy too from road outside until well past midnight.
