Amazing location, friendly receptionist, the view to Acropolis! Nice bathroom, comfy bed, clean. Air conditioning in the room was very much appreciated

Cons:

- The noise level outside was quite bad. Luckily we were too tired and managed to fall asleep.

- Skipped breakfast as the breakfast area was very hot - it was 35 degrees that day outside and there seem to be no air conditioning in that area

- the decor of the room was very basic and I found the room overpriced for what it was, but that star of the show was Acropolis view and that made up for it

Loved our stay here. Highly recommended.
Pros:

Amazing location and view of the Acropolis from our balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

It’s a busy location so be prepared for some noise from the street and people leaving the rooftop bar later in the evening.

The staff were all very friendly helpful and attentive. Hermes was very professional.

We loved Thissio hotel and wouldnt hesitate to stay again.
Pros:

The manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and views from the rooftop restaurant are the best. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Easy access to all the sights, an incredible view and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was a great size. We had the corner suite so had a couch and an incredible balcony. The view from the balcony was amazing.

Pros:

Absolutely everything was perfect. The staff were welcoming and accommodated my need to leave before breakfast by leaving an ample breakfast at my my door.
The room was beautiful and spacious, with an amazing view of the Acropolis from sunrise to brilliantly lit at night.
Location was perfection; 5-10 mins walk up a beautiful pedestrian avenue to the trail that leads to the base of the Acrooolis (group meeting place/ticket office). Walking distance to many historical sites, the flea market, shops & restaurants.
The on site restaurant was wonderful with excellent service, food and views. The food was excellent; I'm forever going to dream of the moussaka and rich morning yogurt & fruit).
I highly recommend. Thanks for making my visit so special.

Good location, but shower was a deal breaker for me.
Pros:

Great location to explore Athens. Close to the Acropolis. Many restaurants nearby. The neighborhood felt safe. We had a nice little balcony to enjoy the view of the square and the Acropolis in the distance. The room was very clean but other areas a little tired/not as tidy. Good breakfast included but it started a little late for our early morning tour.

Cons:

The major downfall to this room was the shower which was tiny. Instead of a door they had a shower curtain which stuck to you throughout the shower. Yuk, expecially when it is not your shower curtain. I am not sure if this bathroom was intended to be a wet room but even if it wasn't the bathroom ended up very wet. We were on a cruise ship with a similar size shower but as it had a glass door it was tolerable, so if they could make that change it might be ok. The overall size of the bathroom was good.

Magnificent staff! Magnificent view!
Pros:

The staff treated us like family from the moment we arrived. They unloaded our luggage for our party of 5 which was substantial, while they directed us inside to cafe tables with cool lemonade awaiting. This is old school hospitality that we just don't experience in the US anymore and it's sad we don't. All this and I haven't even mentioned the view from our room balcony directly on the Acropolis and the rooftop bar/restaurant that we ate it with the same view at night. Wonderful stay and highly recommended to anyone staying in Athens.

Absolutely nothing we didn't like.
