Do not recommend and won’t stay again. Definitely not worth the money paid.
Pros:

Provided 2x water bottles

Cons:

No hot water. No soap. Used soap in bathroom.
Towel rail fell off.
Rusty chair in shower.
Very noisy in the roof all night.
Impeded access to door with laundry and other trolleys stored there.
Outdoor light blaring in the room all night.

Can’t recommend unfortunately.
Pros:

On the river and a beautiful building but not much more . The dinner we had was mediocre. Central Queensland beef country and the beef burger was preformed frozen barely beef . How hard is it to make a burger Pattie out of local beef? Slice of plastic cheese and cold chips.

Pizza very average. 1 beer, one glass of wine more than $80. No thanks.

Pros:

My favourite place to stay ever! Great accomodation, the pub attached was amazing. Fantastic meals and atmosphere! Wish I could have stayed longer!

Aussie good times
Pros:

Absolutely classic old Aussie Hotel. The rooms are old but nicely freshened up with the basics you need and a comfortable bed with fresh sheets. Shared bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner and body wash (bring your thongs). Restaurant downstairs with lots of options and generous servings. Front bar has Guinness on tap to keep up your hydration. Just across the road is the river walk for a stroll before dinner. The rooms are excellent value a long as you're ok with shared bathrooms.

Pros:

Great location, comfortable beds and great food at the pub.

Cons:

Got woken up 1.5 hrs before check out by the staff, reminding us. Was quite abrupt especially after a long night. Some of the glasses in the fridge said they were clean but were visibly dirty too.

Pros:

Cheap room with comfy double bed. Shared amenities were good as well. Pub food was really tasty.

Cons:

I did get the cheapest room I could in St George which was above the beer garden of the pub so it got pretty loud at night but can't complain too much for the price.
