A good choice
Pros:

This is a fine hotel, and a good choice. My room, a "single," was clean and of adequate size; there is a nice breakfast; friendly staff; good air-conditioning (may be necessary here); and a convenient location just a short walk from José Balta Avenue (sort of the "main street"), from where it's just a short walk up to the central plaza.

Cons:

I have no complaints; my requirements may not be elaborate, but everything I wanted or needed in a hotel room was present. (A little more shelf space for stuff in the bathroom might have been nice, but this is a minor point.)
[Note, too, that while "Booking' always puts a tiny Spanish flag under my name, I'm actually from the US.]

Average in a good way
Pros:

The bed and pillows were so comfy! Most of the staff dont speak English but Google Translate is a life saver and they're still friendly and helpful. A water cooler in the lobby to refill your bottles which is something all hotels should have by now but surprisingly don't. Free airport shuttle both ways. Outlet and lamp beside the bed. Close walk to the town square and good restaurants.

Cons:

There's no sound proofing so you hear construction/street noises and your neighbours. You can't flush the toilet paper, you have to put it in the garbage. I had to ask for Housekeeping to come take out the garbage every day otherwise the room would smell. The water bottle on the desk is part of the mini bar, it is not free.
