Very good and would definitely stay again
Pros:

Overall it was very good, we stayed there as we were attending a wedding at Hodsock Priory, enjoyed a quiet drink in the beer garden and the food was excellent

Cons:

We were told breakfast was 7-30am to 9am but it was actually 9am start.

Probably best to avoid
Pros:

Bed was firm but comfortable

Cons:

Breakfast only available after 9am, no pre notice, we had to leave by 8am. Wouldn’t agree refund with booking.com who tried and provided a credit

En suite was a small cupboard built into the room with a shower that couldn’t be set to cooler than scalding hot. No staff on site to help correct.

Pros:

Staff were very pleasant and helpful and were clearly putting in extra effort. Despite us being late for breakfast they were still more than happy to serve us and were very friendly.

Couldn’t believe how small the room was
Pros:

Convenient point for breaking journey.

Nice little hotel/pub but not worth £120 per night
Pros:

Location , food in the evening was good staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

Beds were hard and lumpy, window could not be opened so room was stuffy
We paid for Breakfast but they did not start serving until 08.30 which we believe is unreasonably late even for a Sunday. We had to leave before then so had to buy breakfast elsewhere
