Absolutely disheartening
Pros:

Nothing. There was only one member of staff. No chef. Room damp and a hole in the wall. No hot water in basin. We had to ask four times for towels. After that we decided to not stay. I would like my money.back please. We had to give the man £20 because I had Mis He would not accept my card and demanded cash which he put in his pocketed. Room 12 was not an experience we would like to repeat. Sincerely, John martin

Cons:

Everything

Pleasant stay, a little pricey
Pros:

The location was great for hill walking and exploring the local area. The stay was pleasant, the bed was firm but comfortable enough. There was a good choice for breakfast on the pre order menu. We did have a lovely view by the window though at breakfast

Cons:

There could have been more tea bags, milk and coffee sachets in the tea tray in the room. The pre order breakfast menu was a little over complicated with a confusing numbering system. Perhaps just having a tick box system would have been a bit simpler. Sadly the plastic casing was also left on the black pudding and the vegetarian haggis on both mine and my partners breakfast. I didn't feel there was value for money

A welcome respite from a wet long-distance walk, but a bit Fawlty Towers.
Pros:

This was the only affordable option bookable at short notice in this location on the Rob Roy Way. The room was comfortable and it was a very welcome stop after a wet day’s walk.

Cons:

Service was a little idiosyncratic - a bit 1970s bed and breakfast .

Nice and simple place to stay. Has everything you need and location is nice.
Pros:

The property was east to find, there was a car park although small and the location was good. There was an information book in the room which was useful to look at for things to do in the area.

Cons:

It was very basic but had everything you needed.

Too expensive even though it was cheaper than other nearby accommodation
Pros:

Not a lot. It was a lovely old hotel that is well past its prime!

Cons:

It was creepy. The beds were not comfortable and the host was not welcoming. He questioned our choices for breakfast as being too much! And when we finished breakfast he brought out the bacon we ordered. He needs to change jobs!

I would not recommend staying here
Pros:

The location is good, the room looked clean and well made up.

Cons:

The staff didn't seem in a very good mood and I had to ask a lot of questions for information that was not given (e.g. when is breakfast, where is breakfast etc.). The breakfast was also quite poor in my opinions (overdone eggs, underdone hash browns, the coffee had a funny taste etc.).

Disappointing
Pros:

The breakfast was good.

Cons:

The hot water wasn't responsive and the shower came out as a trickle in the shared bathroom. Also, the WiFi password on notices was incorrect and the WiFi was turned off on arrival, which seemed very strange.

Great, comfortable, No frills accommodation with an excellent breakfast.
Pros:

Breaakfast was great to set you up for a few hours on the local hills and trails. Room good size and comfortable.

Cons:

Although it was ok.... a more homely. communal seating area/lounge would be good.

Good place to spend the night to walk in the Highlands or be a tourist.
Pros:

Very reasonably priced. Comfortable room. Nice breakfast.

Cons:

Limited dinner options. Bar seemed to close quite early. But the owner was clearly doing pretty much everything single handed. So well done for keeping the plates spinning.
