Lovely room, great pub and quality food all in the centre of Sedbergh! Excellent bed for a perfect nights sleep.
Breakfast not included!
Lovely old building. Excellent food!
Limited parking for guests and extremely narrow entrance to the car park.
The staff is fantastic, and the food is exceptional. We brought our dog with us, and the "dog fee" covered her own bed, treats, and a warm welcome by the entire staff. Strongly recommend.
The rooms haven't been updated in a while. There are a few of the little things that could use some attention, but I would still STRONGLY recommend staying. The service and rooms are a cut above anything else.
Fabulous bedroom and superb dining
Limited parking
Comfortable room
Friendly staff mostly
Our room no. 2 was located above a very noisy beer cellar fan which kicked in randomly and all through the night.
Rubbish collection happened at 5.15 am and at least 12 large paladins were trundled over the cobbled passage way below our window and when emptied were trundled back ! Of course rubblish has to be collected but I want to warn future guests never to sleep in room 2 !!
Beautiful clean bedroom, comfy bed, shower gel and shampoo/ soap great quality, quiet environment and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious.
Nothing to dislike- all great and would return.
On Booking.com no parking was indicated so we parked in a twin car park, however our from our bedroom balcony we could see that the inn had a small car park and a member of staff asked us where we parked. No big deal, just a comment.
The food was amazing
No breakfast included and was quite noisy up until around 12pm because of the pubs on the Main Street
Perfect location in centre of town. Loved the pared down Japanese style. Dog friendly room was very comfortable - dog bed and dog treats provided which was great.
Nothing
Traditional feel
Hotel and staff were outstanding, Lizzie arranged birthday balloons in room, thanks Lizzie. Food was perfection. The whole experience is highly recommended
Nothing
Beautifully appointed rooms with extremely nice products and big fluffy towels. Tea and coffee in the room with fresh water (still and sparkling) provided every day and a welcome cookie (that was delish). Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do more for you. The town is a nice place to hang out for a day, and there are a couple of pubs around to have different food if you want.
Breakfast and supper were expensive - but both were excellent, more of a treat than a daily expense. The room could have been cleaner. No heated towel rail - we had just come off of a 4-day hike and needed to dry some stuff. Hairdryer didn't work. The room was quite noisy as the alley that the room was on seemed to be hang-out / smoking area for the staff.
The food was great. A really lovely anniversary meal.
The room was really dirty. Cleaning was months overdue in some areas. We paid £215 (our mistake was to buy off booking.com) for a room with no breakfast and the room needed a good spring clean and there was paint peeling off damp walls. Ingrained dirt, dust and mould in main hallways, the room, our bathroom.
Great food and atmosphere. friendly staff
They had thought through everything. Such a lovely little greeting of coffee and cookies
Hot old building - exceptional heat wave
The decor and the little touches of luxury were lovely. The bathroom is bright, clean, and modern with excellent vanity space a rainfall shower head, and a Bluetooth speaker in the mirror. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
The rooms facing the street are loud, especially on warm days when closing the windows isn’t an option.
breakfast was ok but i would have preferred it included in room rate. Options are otheriwse limited in Sedburgh
It felt a little pricey really. Wine pretty expensive per glass but i guess thats what tourists are for!
