The Drake Hotel

The Drake Hotel is such a vibe! A really nice, boutique atmosphere with a great bar (which even has a happy hour) and the interior design is just gorgeous. The room was a great size. Our room had one of those 'integrated bathrooms' where the shower is in the room with a privacy screen - fine for couples but just a heads up for friends sharing!

My friend Sabrina and I had a wonderful brunch today at the Drake Hotel's Sky Yard. We shared the eggs Benedict, the chicken and waffles, and Hugo Spritzes, and everything was delicious. What truly made our visit special, though, was our server, Kai.

He was attentive from start to finish, offering great recommendations on menu options and drinks without ever being overbearing. Since it was hot out and we were sitting outside, he steered us away from a traditional espresso martini and instead suggested a cool, refreshing mix with espresso of course . he had the bartender put together, which turned out to be a great call. Sabrina also enjoyed her sangria.

What stood out most was how far Kai went beyond the basics. When our umbrella broke, he immediately brought out a replacement so we could stay comfortable. He also took the time to chat with us and made the whole experience feel personal and unhurried. It is rare to find service this thoughtful, and it turned a nice brunch into a memorable one.

Sabrina and I both agreed we will be back, and we will be requesting Kai every time. Highly recommend the Sky Yard for a relaxed, well-served brunch with a view.

I had one of the best experiences of my life with Kai ! We went to drag brunch to celebrate my brother’s birthday who passed away, and I couldn’t believe how amazing Kai was. He asked me so many questions about my brother and made me feel like he was here with us. I’m getting emotional as I write this because I’ve never felt so loved by a server. Truly the best experience of my life and I’ll be back. Thank you Kai! Xoxox

Truly a great experience from the room and amenities, to the food, drinks and wonderful staff. Great location, positioned on street filled with shops and restaurants, while still being close to the park. :)

The drag queen show was amazing. We sang the whole time. We loved every minute of it. Kai was one of the best servers. He was very attentive and super helpful. We will definitely come back again.

Me and my girlfriend went to a drag show and it was AMAZING!! And the service was on par with the drag show!! Our server was Kai and he was AMAZING and treated us like royalty!! Do yourself a favor and ask for Kai at the Drake Hotel.

The Drake Hotel is one of my favourite places to stay when downtown Toronto. The rooms are stylish, thoughtfully designed, fun, and incredibly comfortable, striking the perfect balance between boutique charm and modern luxury. Beds are more firm than plush but offer a good nights rest.

The front desk team made the experience even better with their warm, welcoming, and efficient service from check-in to departure. They really care and go above and beyond! They truly made me feel at home.

Finally, the location is unbeatable even though it’s not in the “heart of the downtown”. Situated in the heart of Queen West, you're within walking distance of some of Toronto's best restaurants, cafes, galleries, boutiques, and nightlife / bars and clubs, making it the perfect base for exploring the city with friends or a night cap after a long day of work!

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend The Drake Hotel for anyone looking for a unique and memorable Toronto experience in a smaller boutique like property.

We had a wonderful experience at the Drake hotel during drag brunch but the best part of that experience was our server Kai. Kai was absolutely amazing and made sure that our experience was flawless!! If we could give Kai 10/10 we would…. To bad we can only rate it out of 5 so 10/5 for the drake hotel and KAI!

The hotel staff was friendly, which is always a plus. I appreciated the complimentary water provided in a clear glass bottle in the room.

One downside was the TV setup. Guests are required to cast content from their phones, and for a hotel positioned as luxurious, I expected a Smart TV with built-in streaming apps available for use. I was also disappointed that the room did not include bar soap or a loofah.

The surrounding area felt fairly quiet during the week, with limited activity nearby. Additionally, the hotel was not as close to Downtown Toronto as I had hoped, making it a bit less convenient for exploring the city.

We love brunch at the Drake! Good food and great service always!

Came here for my friends birthday and Tia was our server. She was so sweet and had great service. Will be back!!:)
