Location and surroundings good. Tucked away behind Unversity buildings but very pleasant parkland location very close to the Arena which suited us.
When we booked in we were told breakfast would be served til 10:00am. Which is a reasonable time even for mid-week we think in most hotels of this type and class. Alas as we stayed over from Thursday to Friday and ate out on Thursday Evening with Les Miserables at the arena starting at 7:30pm and not being able to check-in til 3pm we had little time to settle in to the hotel before needing to be out for an evening meal at 6pm. Thus, we did not check the details for breakfast and took the receptionists word as to a 10:00am finish.
That information was incorrect and led us to have a very rushed and stressful morning and thereby spoiling our stay slightly. Staff were good and served us well and even asked us if there was more we needed from the breakfast bar before starting to clear it away. However, it seemed to us several guests were also misinformed as 3 to 4 more arrived post 9:30 am looking for a breakfast?
I think communication on arrival was poor and the breakfast times need to be clearly displayed on the counter on arrival ( big and bold!)
However, seldom have we stayed in a quality business class/leisure hotel that finishes breakfast midweek at 9:30am. This for us is a big mistake - it needs to be a more reasonable10:00am and 11:00am at weekends. We believe this is the more generally accepted standard across the piste that this hotel pitches itself.
On this one point we would not recommend the stay and would not come back at the price point pitched even though this one tweak would change our minds in an instant as the rest of our stay met our needs well.
The atmosphere and the people. Staff were helpful, efficient and friendly ( mentioning especially Sainabou in this respect). Loved that parking was free and central to the campus.

Confusion over booking on app.. I did not mean to pay up front but must have made a genuine mistake.
Ended up being referred back and forth between the property and Booking to try and rectify - well before the expiry of the free cancellation date.
No flexibility shown. Not good customer relations.
The ambiance of the place. The friendliness of the staff. The bar, lounge and eating setup as well as the quality of the food.
Nothing.
This is a “complete” hotel- a lovely venue as well as a nice place to stay. It has lots of communal lobby and bar space making it ideal for groups of people to convene. There is a good sized free car park and electric car charging available in several spaces.
No fridge in the room.
