Great location, very comfortable rooms and amazing service. The food at the lobby breakfast area was outstanding and Turab's service was 5 out of 5. Thank you!
Very experiential vacation, with superb staff services, highly clean room, personalised services during breakfast time.
Clean and perfect. Overall satisfied and great staff too. Understand the needs and help to accomodatw with late check out
Very comfortable stay and the front office staffs were very attentive to the hotel customers. The room was spacious and comfortable to accommodate for my stay with my family. Will definitely return in future.
I stayed here for 21 nights and encountered several issues during that time. I raised these concerns with the hotel directly, and the matter eventually escalated to Hyatt's corporate level before being closed. Throughout this process, I felt that the effort and difficulty involved on my end was not met with the same level of seriousness from the hotel's side, which I found disappointing. I am sharing this account as a reference for anyone considering a stay here.
1. Check-In and Payment Process
At check-in, the card payment was requested for deposit purposes; however, an actual charge was processed without any clear explanation or prior notice. When I inquired about changing the card, I was informed that a bank processing fee would apply. I requested the fee be waived on the grounds that the card had been presented for deposit purposes only, but the hotel's position was that the charge had been processed with my authorization, and absorbing an external fee would be difficult.
The hotel later summarized this as me having had a change of heart the day after check-in. However, I only became aware of the charge four days later through my bank's app. Given that additional costs can arise, I felt it necessary to finalize which card to use before check-in, or confirm the payment method carefully at check-in.
2. Room Hygiene
During my stay, I developed what appeared to be insect bites after sleeping and requested a sheet change, which was done. Afterward, I also found a lizard and a spider inside the room. I was unable to reach the front desk and had to handle the situation myself. I understand Malaysia's environment, but encountering these situations inside the room left a strong impression. Photos and videos have been uploaded as reference.
3. Room Change Experience
I was offered a room change, but no specific information was provided about which room I would be moved to. I was told that "a better environment cannot be guaranteed even with a room change," which made it difficult to feel confident that moving would help. I ended up staying in the original room.
The hotel subsequently made repeated mention of the fact that a room change had been offered but declined. However, I consider a room change to be one of the basic steps following an issue — that measure alone did not resolve or undo what had already occurred.
4. Communication and Response
Overall communication was fragmented across different platforms. After the hotel informed me they would follow up via WhatsApp, contact arrived by email. I replied but received no further response. A payment-related inquiry by email also received no reply. There were also instances where I attempted to call the hotel and could not get through.
The hotel noted they had made two phone calls to my room and visited once while the Do Not Disturb sign was active, framing this as their outreach having been limited. However, the instances where I could not reach the hotel were not mentioned. There was ultimately a difference in perception regarding communication, and it was difficult to feel it had been stable and two-directional throughout.
5. Post-Checkout and Complaint Process
After checkout, I sent a complaint email summarizing the full situation. The hotel's response contained interpretations that differed from what I had experienced. The compensation offered was 1,000 World of Hyatt points for a 21-night stay (approximately USD 15).
I compiled a detailed timeline and shared it with the hotel. They acknowledged most of the points raised — but immediately following that, communicated that they would not be proceeding with any further compensation or discussion, and the exchange was closed.
6. Overall
As a Globalist who has stayed at numerous Hyatt properties, this stay left me with genuine disappointment. I hold a certain standard when staying at a Hyatt property, and the gap between that expectation and my actual experience was disheartening. This was my first Hyatt House stay, and based on this experience, I would not consider choosing this brand again.
I have visited the hotel for just one night, but I feel like I stayed much longer because it felt like home. This is my first stay at Hyatt House, and I was truly impressed by the cleanliness, the quality of the food, and the service.
I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur and truly enjoyed my time at the hotel.
The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their positive attitude and responsiveness made the overall experience even more pleasant.
The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options and quality food every morning. The location of the hotel is also excellent, with easy access to the city center and major attractions around Kuala Lumpur.
The room itself was spacious, comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. It had everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Overall, my experience at Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur was excellent. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur.
all just great
Nothing..
Good location within Mont Kiara
Sunway 163 mall and other areas around it. Walkable and connected to main Klang area
Breakfast was below average for the expectations from Hyatt. Not much spread of fresh fruits, other options.
