We had a few dinners and some lunch! Food is always fresh and delicious! We were happy to stay there.

The room is spacious enough for a family of four, and the river view is fantastic. The breakfast is delicious and can be customised to suit your preferences.

The hotel owner is very friendly and helpful. They guided us in exploring different places and suggested budget-friendly options for our tour. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

I have visited many countries and stayed in many different places, but I have never felt as comfortable and relaxed as I did at Amber House Lanka. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like staying at a hotel and more like staying at a friend's home.
The owner, Mr. Nuwan, is one of the kindest and most humble people I have ever met. He is clearly very successful, but despite that, he is incredibly down-to-earth, generous, and warm-hearted. His family is also extremely loving and welcoming.

They treat guests like family, not customers.
My small kids kept saying that they had never felt this comfortable anywhere else.
Mr. Nuwan's heart is truly like an ocean. His generosity and kindness are difficult to put into words.
During our departure, I was short of money, and even before I could properly ask, he offered to help and told me to take whatever amount I needed. That level of kindness is something I will never forget.
They serve incredibly tasty and delicious food at very reasonable prices.
The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable.
The swimming pool is also very clean and well maintained.
The entire property has such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
What makes this place special isn't just the rooms, food, or swimming pool, it's the people. The warmth and hospitality of Mr. Nuwan and his family made us feel genuinely cared for.
I honestly don't know how to express how grateful I am for the way they treated us. I will truly miss Mr. Nuwan, his family, and Amber House Lanka.
If you are looking for a place where you can relax, feel comfortable, and be treated like family, this is the place.

Our family had a fantastic experience at Amber House Lanka. Traveling as tourists with my family and kids,we found it to be an excellent choice for families.

The accommodation was clean and well-equipped, with the added bonus of being able to cook on-site, which was really convenient. The owners were incredibly friendly and treated us like family, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The location is ideal, the view is amazing!you can view the river from the comfort of your bed.The beach can be accessed by boat provided by the lake house and its just across the river, few metres away from the lake house. From the location, you can explore the areas around;the beach, mangroves, see sea turtles,water sports activities, etc and enjoy the natural beauty around the place.

In terms of value for money, it was definitely worth it! The included breakfast and the fact that kids stay free made our stay even more enjoyable.

I highly recommend Amber House Lanka to families and even individuals seeking a memorable and delightful getaway.

Die Lage am Fluss war sehr schön. Die Gastgeber waren superfreundlich, in jeder Hinsicht hilfsbereit, offen und haben ein tolles Essen auf der Terrasse serviert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, groß und gut ausgestattet.

The breakfasts were nice, there was an interesting view from the room, the host family were helpful. We appreciated getting a lift on a boat across the river to get to the swimming beach.

The owners are super nice and welcoming, the breakfast was amazing and the room we had was simply wonderful. Bed was very comfortable and the views were to die for.

Amber Lake House is very close to all major attractions and offers a lovely lake view. Breakfast was good, and the room was spacious, neat, and very comfortable, making the stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Loved the view from the balcony overlooking the river. The swimming pool was a great bonus as well. Loved the beach and the boat ride across the river to access it.
Breakfast was great as was the seafood/ fish when we had a couple of evening meals.

Séjour absolument merveilleux dans cet hôtel familial ! Tout est parfaitement tenu et on sent immédiatement la gentillesse et l’attention de la famille qui s’en occupe. Ils sont vraiment aux petits soins et rendent le séjour encore plus agréable.
Nous avons également fait une magnifique excursion sur le fleuve, un moment très dépaysant et très bien organisé.
Et que dire de la langouste… absolument délicieuse, parfaitement cuisinée ! Un vrai régal.
Un endroit plein de charme où l’on se sent vraiment bien. Nous recommandons cet hôtel les yeux fermés !

Breakfast was delicious although the spread was limited. But that’s not a concern as the portion sizes were good enough for a meal.

Room was large and spacious, with a great view over the river however that is where the plus points end.
