Staff were gorgeous and the location is lovely. The restaurant and Stable Bar were good. Carpet could use an update on the stairs and halls!
The shower had no water pressure at all
Room was clean and comfortable, however could have had a bottle of water and couple of glasses upon arrival. Mini fridge would have made the room more comfortable as we would be able to store cold bottles or cans to refresh ourselves once we felt too tired to sit in the bar / restaurant.
Bathroom was could have done with a fan as there was no window to air out after hot shower...all steam and hot air went into the room.
Bathroom had no ventilation
No bottle fresh water upon arrival
No mini fridge to keep refreshments cool, you had to go to the bar for every single drink on hot summers day

Can't find any fault
We had stayed here several years ago and went back because we enjoyed the friendliness, food and style of the hotel. We were not disappointed. Our room was spacious and north facing, so it was comfortable, even in the hot weather. The ensuite hadn't long been refurbished and was fairly roomy and well designed.
Some noise from the main road, but this was not excessive.
Beautiful Town! Gorgeous common spaces including fabulous outside dining and a good menu.
Rooms were old, needed maintenance and cleaning …our assigned room haa a broken toilet, the second one shown had bugs in the tub and no working shower, the third one has running water but no working shower…since it was the last available,we stayed. A disappointment. Booking.com really failed us on this trip…we are at the highest genius rating, but are being given substandard rooms as according to hotels, they are taking larger percentages in fees.
Location amazing, staff nice, rooms clean and well kept
Room was too hot, needs Aircon
Food was excellent on day 1, staff very attentive and very friendly, day 2 I had to find my server to order breakfast, other than feeling like a burden to her I enjoyed my stay
The shower in the room wasnt detachable from ceiling, therefore its not easy for ladies to wash properly unless you can do handstands.
Very friendly staff
Having ti leave
Everything and everyone
Nothing
The Royal OAK was located right in the heart of Betws-y-Coed, and easy to find with ample parking. The staff are amongst some of the friendliest hotel staff I have ever had come across, and looked after us well. The restaurant food was excellent - so good that we didn't bother venturing beyond it.
