We had a fine stay at Homewood Suites but next time would opt to stay closer to downtown and book a regular room because
Pros:

- Located near the subway and Sparks Street
- Food Basics across the street for provisions
- Nice pool
- Good breakfast buffet
- Parking with in and out privileges, security
- staff were friendly and helpful
- quiet neighbourhood, always felt safe

Cons:

- $25/day parking on top of hotel rate
- junior suite was not a good set up for families: open concept, only one King bed so forced to use a very uncomfortable and creaky sofa bed (pad with extra blankets!), no dining table and chairs, kitchen is not well equipped at all (not enough dishes, cups, mugs or silverware, no fry pan), sink outside of bathroom so noisy at night
- location is a pro/con depending on what you are looking for (quieter, 15-20 min walk or 5 min subway to downtown, not a lot of restaurants/cafes right nearby)

We had a great stay!!
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Staffs were so accommodating.

Cons:

sofa bed was not comfortable . We can feel the spring on our back.

Très bonne option pour visiter Ottawa
Pros:

L’emplacement, la taille des chambres, les équipements dont la piscine, la kitchenette, la gentillesse du personnel

Clean and easy walking to downtown
Pros:

Very clean
Staff were exceptional
Loved the self serve snack area for late night additions.

Cons:

The room was newly renovated and had a very strong odour. However, the next day when we told the frint desk, we were able to switch rooms

Pros:

Das Frühstück war grundsätzlich besser als erwartet. Parken in der nebenan gelegenen Tiefgarage war mit 25 $ in Ordnung.

Das Personal, insbesondere an der Rezeption, war durchweg sehr freundlich und zugewandt.

Cons:

Dass die Suite nur ein Zimmer hat und auch für vier Personen nicht mit einem separaten Schlafzimmer ausgestattet ist. So stand das klappsofa direkt neben dem Doppelbett.
Unerklärlich:
Bei Buchung mit vier Personen wurde das klappsofa nicht direkt bezogen und gemacht, zwar sehr nett auf Anfrage. Aber: wenn klar ist, dass die Buchung von zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern wahrgenommen wird: sollen alle vier Personen in einem Bett schlafen....?

Es gab Handtücher für zwei Personen. Es macht den Anschein, dass überhaupt nicht geschaut wird, mit wie vielen Personen eine "Suite" gebucht wird.

Die Klimaanlage war sehr laut. Musste aber genutzt werden, denn die Fenster ließen sich gar nicht öffnen.
