Our stay was overpriced and disappointing.
Pros:

The location was great, the food at the restaurant was pretty good, and the interiors of the room and lobby were nice.

Cons:

From start to finish, the stay was so far below our expectations, it was appalling.
The staff was not very competent (restaurant staff was slow and aloof), when one of our friends wasn’t able to come, they were not flexible on the price even though we hadn’t paid yet, our bathroom had been used when we first checked in, the plumbing was having issues and they claimed they told us the water was going to be shut off early in the morning but they did not, there was a dead cockroach in the kitchen cabinet, they tried to overcharge us for the items we used in the snack bar, and they were not very professional when we were bringing these items to their attention.
Additionally, the cleaning staff was not careful with our room, leaving it unlocked in one instance and leaving the door wide open with no one around in another instance.
They even stole our friends $500 cash she had in her luggage, and we noticed other reviews saying their cash was stolen too. That is absolutely unacceptable and this hotel must be held accountable.

We had an amazing stay, there are only a few small details that would have made things even better.
Pros:

The friendly and helpful staff, AC was super cold, room was clean, great location.

Cons:

No pool, no door or shower curtain for the shower. Three levels in the room, so lots of walking up and down stairs.

Lugar óptimo en la Paz
Pros:

Excelente ubicación...la zona mas concurrida . Necesitas vehículo para llegar a las bonitas playas de alrededores.
El desayuno muy bien y la gentileza de toallas para la playa.

Cons:

En nuestro caso solo que la habitación elegida tenia desniveles y nos dificultó movernos
Pero el resto muy bien

Charming hotel right in the heart of La Paz with attentive staff and modern clean rooms.
Pros:

We visited La Paz for the first time and chose Casa al Mar for its location in the heart of the town and the view of the ocean. The hotel staff were wonderful and accommodating, even when we had a last minute change due to flight changes. There communication was superb, and they helped us engage a driver from the airport. The hotel is charming and beautiful, and the room was better than we even expected. We had a separate living room/dining room/kitchenette and an awesome balcony looking over the ocean. We would love to stay here again any time!

Great staff!
Pros:

Friendly staff who speak English, and Very comfy quiet rooms and great location. However the patio suite actually does not have a patio.

Cons:

Minisplit ruidoso en la recámara principal, lo comenté con la administración. Seguramente lo arreglarán, todo el mantenimiento en el cuarto excelente.

Great! Our family of four enjoyed our time in La Paz and stay at Casa Al Mar.
Pros:

Convenient location on the Malecón, walking distance to restaurants and sites in the center, all the staff members very kind and provided us with exceptional service.
