Gediegen wohnen an hervorragender Lage
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt an bevorzugter Lage am Neuenburger See mit einem hübschen Park vor dem Haus, nahe der Altstadt und dem Schiffsteg. Das ehrwürdige Gebäude ist in hervorragendem Zustand und mit allen aktuellen Einrichtungen versehen. Ein lauschiger, bedienter Garten lässt Ferienfeeling aufkommen. Die angrenzende öffentliche Tiefgarage hat einen direkten Zugang zum Hotel. Zusätzlich bietet das Hotel dort auch einige separat abgeteilte Standplätze an, welche aber zusätzlich kosten. Das Personal war ausserordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und professionell.

Cons:

Die Erwartungen aufgrund der Bewertungen konnten allein inbezug auf das Abendessen nicht ganz befriedigen. Das Angebot bestand aus einer Bistrokarte, welche vermutlich den meisen Ansprüchen bei der warmen Jahreszeit entsprochen haben mag und fast ausschliesslich im Garten genossen wurde. Wir trafen uns zu Fünft auf der Durchreise nach Frankreich und sassen dann allein im grossen Speisesaal, wurden von einem jungen, freundlichen und aufmerksamen Kellner bedient, dem jedoch die fachliche Ausbildung fehlte, was etwas schade war. Erstaunt waren wir auf der Rückreise. Wir wollten dort zu Abend essen. Uns wurde aber beschieden, dass die Küche geschlossen sei. Offenbar befand sich dort zu dem Zeitpunkt organisatorisch etwas im Umbruch.

Es war ok. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und war eine gute Ausgangslage für unsere Aktivitäten.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels hat mir gut gefallen, direkt am See und gleich neben dem Stadtzentrum. Auch das Zimmer war gut aufgeteilt und verfügte über eine Klimaanlage, ein separates Ankleideraum sowie ein Bad mit separatem WC und Dusche.

Cons:

Das Parken ist teuer, ich glaube CHF 35.– pro Tag. Ausserdem hatte es auf dem Hotelparkplatz keinen freien Platz mehr für uns. Wir haben dann im Parkhaus nebenan geparkt. Dort war das Parken sogar CHF 20.– günstiger.

Es handelt sich um ein 5-Sterne-Hotel. Das Hotel ist allerdings schon etwas älter und entspricht meiner Meinung nach in gewissen Bereichen nicht mehr ganz dem Standard, den ich heute von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel erwarte. Ich mag zum Beispiel keine Teppichböden in Hotelzimmern. Auch das Klimagerät war recht laut, selbst auf der kleinsten Stufe. Das Fenster hatte leider kein Mückennetz, sodass man es nachts lieber geschlossen liess. Gerade nachts hätten wir das Fenster gerne geöffnet, anstatt die Klimaanlage laufen zu lassen.

Bei einem Preis von rund CHF 500.– für zwei Nächte für einen Erwachsenen und ein Kind, ohne Frühstück und ohne Parkgebühr), hätte ich von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel insgesamt etwas mehr erwartet.
