Starting to look tired and outside spaces need attention

The car parking
The location was superb - right in centre of Knaresborough AND it had free parking facilities.
Also had a lovely lounge with games/books where guests can relax.
Very helpful, welcoming, knowledgeable host who recommended an excellent restaurant for evening meal.
Delicious well cooked tasty vegi and meat breakfast.
One niggle… The central heating wasn’t working and so had to have a portable oil heater.
Room just a little jaded ( tired net curtains/paint work old on windows) - needs a cash input to make it more appealing.- could be a fantastic boutique hotel with a makeover.
The homemade granola and breakfast in general were great, the grand living room downstairs was lovely and our room surpassed our expectations.

We had a very smooth check-in, there were very clear instructions before we got there and got a space in their car park (there was lots of room). We loved the decor and style of this hotel, it was a bit like staying in a vintage shop. We stayed in the Apple room, which was huge and surpassed all expectations. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, it was very nice that they were able to cater for veggie and vegan.
Breakfast presented an excellent selection and freshly prepared options. Friendly staff.
Two chairs in the room. A lovely lounge to use as needed. Stairwell was tastefully decorated on orchard theme.
Parking was easy and convenient.
Great location minutes’ walk from the market place and Castle.

Weather was too hot! No-one's fault of course, and you did supply a room fan to be fair. Parking a little tricky to find as it's not through the main arch but down an alley to the side.

We had a room at the back, and although the Outlook was not particularly attractive, it was quiet. The rooms on the road side are likely to be noisy.
