This is a stunning hotel with all the British charm and high service you would want in a hotel experience. We go to London every few years and will now be staying here!

My husband and I stayed at the Bankside autograph collection hotel in London this past April. The front desk team conveyed such enthusiasm to be helpful in a myriad of ways that they set the stage for a wonderful stay. The room, restaurant and location were also lovely. But it was the front desk team— all of them— that we continue to rave about and that prompts us to recommend the Bankside to our friends!

Simply outstanding in every way - walkable to most points of interest, taxi rank in front, excellent breakfast service with eggs cooked to order, staff goes above and beyond (including landing us tickets for Paddington the day before the show!), and a nicely outfitted gym with a Hydrow rowing machine (one of about 50 hotels worldwide that have one and if you are a Hydrower fantasize about Henley will working your splits on floor -2).

I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel! I have been privileged to travel around the world, stay in very nice hotels, but the staff at the Bankside took our experience to another level. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they took their time assisting us with directions and made wonderful recommendations, all which were 100% on point! The hotel itself is in a great location, across the road is the thames River, walking distance to the London eye, great restaurants and many attractions. The rooms at the hotel are spotlessly clean and very comfortable, they have a great restaurant and bar, they serve an incredible breakfast, have a coffee bar, complementary water stations on each floor and many other great features.
There is no doubt that we will stay at the Bankside again when we’re next in London! The staff there are truly an asset to Marriott!!

The team in the restaurant deserves special recognition. Over time, they have become more like family than hotel staff. Anastasiia and Yulia, both from Ukraine, are exceptional. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care create an atmosphere that is rare to find, especially for frequent travellers. They greet every guest with the deepest smiles and the warmest hearts, and they bring a level of kindness and humanity that stays with you long after checkout. They remember people, they make you feel seen, and they turn an ordinary breakfast or evening meal into something personal and welcoming.

That consistency matters. When you travel often, familiar faces and authentic hospitality make all the difference. This hotel delivers that every single time.

For anyone visiting London, especially frequent business travellers who value service as much as comfort, this is a property I would recommend without hesitation.
