L’appartement est très confortable et bien équipé. La vue directement sur la mer est extraordinaire. Grande terrase. Le petit-déjeuner était bon, et l’attention très soignée! Ils ont même été acheter du lait d’amandes pour nous. Notre check-out était avant l’ouverture du restaurant, et ils nous ont preparé un panier de piquenique pour manger à l’appartement.
Éloigné du centre ville Madalena, mais à Pico on a toujours besoin d’une voiture.
Location was exceptional with wonderful views: we could hear the ocean from the property. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Accommodation was really beautifully presented, comfortable and spacious.

Die Lage der Hotelanlage.
Leider sind wir mit der Unterkunft in Pico sehr unzufrieden. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden Bauarbeiten durchgeführt, wodurch ein starker Geruch nach Farb- und Lösungsmitteln in der gesamten Anlage lag. Dieser war so intensiv, dass wir Kopfschmerzen bekamen. Zusätzlich war der Lärm durch Schleifarbeiten sehr störend.
Aufgrund des Geruchs ist es nur möglich, sich im Apartment bei dauerhaft geöffneten Fenstern aufzuhalten. Trotz unserer Nachfrage wurde uns kein alternatives Apartment angeboten, obwohl offenbar andere Unterkünfte verfügbar waren.
In unserer Buchungsbestätigung war ein Apartment mit Meerblick abgebildet, weshalb wir auch davon ausgegangen sind, ein solches zu erhalten. Erst im Kleingedruckten stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass uns lediglich ein Apartment mit Bergblick zusteht.
Weitere Mängel betreffen die Ausstattung: Warmes Wasser in der Dusche ist nur eingeschränkt verfügbar und benötigt mehrere Minuten, bis es überhaupt warm wird. Die Herdplatte weist einen großen Sprung auf, wodurch das Kochen potenziell gefährlich ist. Zudem haben wir Schimmel an den Ecken der Terrassentür festgestellt.
Auch das Frühstücksangebot ist unflexibel. Dieses wird erst ab 8 Uhr serviert, was sich mit unseren geplanten Aktivitäten überschneidet. Auf unsere Anfrage nach einer Alternative wie einem Lunchpaket wurde lediglich verwiesen, dass wir uns selbst versorgen sollen – obwohl das Frühstück bereits im Preis inbegriffen war. Das Frühstück hat eher an eine Jugendherberge erinnert (keine Haferflocken etc.)
Das Personal vor Ort war zwar freundlich, konnte uns jedoch nicht weiterhelfen und verwies uns an die Eigentümerin der Hotelanlage. Diese zeigte sich weder bereit, unsere Reklamation schriftlich zu bestätigen, noch uns ein anderes Apartment anzubieten – obwohl freie Kapazitäten vorhanden waren. Im Gespräch reagierte sie zudem aufbrausend und wenig lösungsorientiert.
Insgesamt entspricht die Unterkunft weder unseren Erwartungen noch dem gebuchten Standard.

Nao gostei do wC-fiquei no adapatado sem sequer me perguntarem nada sobre isso. Sanita mal limpa com pêlos de roupa. Não havia guardanapos. Peq almoço médio baixo.
