Very good hotel for a fair price
Pros:

Very nice and quiet hotel in the centre of Herford; free private parking. Good breakfast. Even if it is an old building, there is a lift.

Cons:

No A/C; not a big problem for me, because the whether was not too hot, but I had to keep the window open. I guess, in full summer, in such a room under the rooftop, the small fan on the table could be insufficient.

Lovely stay in an amazing hotel which is very close to the town.
Pros:

It’s a stunning property steeped in history and in a wonderful location.

Cons:

Bearing in mind the cost for the stay I was slightly peeved to be asked to pay for parking. I didn’t think that was necessary.

Auberge authentique dans un beau bâtiment à colombages. Chambre stylée et confortable, calme, bien isolée. L'accueil est charmant et chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner est fantastique

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in for a long weekend. Loved it.
Pros:

We absolutely adored this property. I found the history of the building and the renovation astounding. This building is 400 years old. The architecture is stunning.
Loved the breakfast lay-out too, with some of my favourite European choices.

Cons:

Nothing much to dislike. There was a slight error on the booking system as the staff insisted we were leaving on the Sunday 6th Sept, but I knew that we were not leaving until Monday 7th Sept. Not sure who made this error, but it was quickly resolved and we did get to stay another night.

Das Frühstück war überwältigend, alles frisch und reichlich. Der Empfang war besonders freundlich, die Hausdame sehr, sehr liebenswürdig.

Pros:

Die Zimmer waren schön groß und gut eingerichtet. Alles, was man brauchen könnte wurde zur Verfügung gestellt.
Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Das,Personal immer freundlich.

Cons:

Die Toilette war sehr niedrig und unbequem, es roch immer etwas muffig im Bad trotz Abluftsauger.
