Really good!
A lounge to relax in, or room menu!
I have stayed here many times and I am usually very happy with the rooms but room 9 isn’t such a good room. It’s one of the smaller rooms, the floor is very creaky and bouncy. There is only an over bath shower, the bath has quite high sides which I find difficult and the shower controls are also quite difficult to operate.
friendly staff clean lovely room hot shower good breakfast history fantastic paintings
breakfast staff over zealous with serving be a little more relaxed between serving
Extraordinary place oozing quality equestrian history at every turn. Wonderful room with huge en-suite and best shower ever. Easy access to lawn and gardens. Wonderful relaxing terrace. ALL of the staff should be commended. Very helpful, friendly, efficient and immaculately presented to reflect the quality surroundings.
A shame about the noisy pub DJ a couple of doors down but not fault of the Jockey club and once outside door closed could hardly be heard.
Vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt en hele mooie locatie!
Niks, was perfect
La beauté du lieu et de la chambre
Rien
The beautiful buildings and location are superb with all the racing right on the doorstep. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The bathroom was modern, very clean and with lovely shower products.
Our rooms were situated in the Town House on the highstreet, just outside the main gates, so not within the main building itself. The rooms are large and curtains and bedlinen of high quality. But the carpets were quite badly stained in a few places which spoiled the otherwise spotless appearance. It lacks a mirror in the bedroom for drying hair!
Staff, cleanliness
No air con, Thick duvet only, no signage for hotel, different name “ Chambers” when you get to the property so difficult to see where to go, no warning about trousers to be worn for breakfast so paid for it but physically not allowed to eat it, could not find bar even though they insisted on taking up front payment for it.
Excellently decorated rooms and wonderfully large bathrooms.
It should no longer be the case that guests have to wear long trousers for breakfast on a 36 degree day!
The Jockey Club Rooms immerse its guests in the amazing history of thoroughbred racing in England. Staff were very friendly, and the onsite charging stations were appreciated. The rooms were delightful, spacious, airy, with modern bathrooms and a beautiful outlook onto manicured lawns and gardens. Breakfast in the formal dining room was sumptuous.
We stayed during the week so did not get to eat at the restaurant or sit on the terrace near the bar (which was also closed). This meant the experience was somewhat lacking, but because it is in the Main Street of Newmarket there were many other options for eating and drinking.
The breakfast was first rate and the dining room was lovely. So much history on display, felt like a very special venue
