It was alright
Pros:

The ocean view

Cons:

sorry ph2,but it has roaches,and the sofa bed futon is hard and cheap not comfortable to sleep on,the AC barely works,there is also a mini AC box in the room,the elevators takes 5 to 10 minutes,if you do not have a wrist band you will be yell at by security guard,the valet drivers also smash gas pedal in your car when driving away,oh yes I caught them so many times.

Walking distance to the beach

Cons:

Strong odor of bleach and Pinesol to mask mold infestation. There was no TV access. I was told that I needed to use my own streaming platforms to watch any tv / cable programming in the room.

Cozy hotel close to beach
Pros:

Great location within walking distance to the beach. It was cozy without the fanciness of the big brand hotels, which was ok. We were all about the beach, not a resort atmosphere. We learned when we arrived that Hollywood Beach Hotel operates 23 buildings in the area. We didn't know that and was looking forward to the pool that was advertised but it was at a different building than where we stayed. We accepted that and focused on the beach.

Cons:

The continental breakfast was disappointing, and the host was very stern when you checked in. She scolded a woman for taking two yogurts. One was for her special needs son who didn't walk in with her. The host lady said, "I only checked in you and your husband." So, the woman put the second yogurt back. It looked like the food was being served out of a large walk-in closet. If you want bread and cereal or oatmeal, then go for it. If you want eggs, pancakes, sausage, or hot, strong tasty coffee, try a restaurant on the boardwalk. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
