Excellent experience at Golden Ridge Hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and professional service. The Front Office team is exceptional, always friendly, polite, and willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable.

A special thanks to Gawshad, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my stay. He made everything easy and was always ready to assist whenever needed. His hospitality and positive attitude truly stood out.

Overall, a great hotel with outstanding service. Highly recommended, and I look forward to staying here again! 🌟

Beautiful hotel in a serene location. The staff were lovely. The breakfast and dinner buffets were awesome (we had lunch elsewhere).

Big property with lots to do. Good hours for the pool and golf carts to take you to the places more far off.

I had a wonderful stay at The Golden Ridge Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. The hotel has a beautiful location with breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, while the food was delicious with plenty of choices.

What really made the experience special was the warm and friendly service from the staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The facilities, ambience, and hospitality made our visit truly memorable.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Nuwara Eliya. I would definitely love to visit again! ❤️🏔️

A fantastic stay at Golden Ridge Hotel! The front office staff deserve special appreciation for their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional hospitality. The location of the hotel is good, very close to the town but away from the immediate hustle. The views from the rooms are great - although there is one quieter side and there is one facing the road- both have mountain views but you could choose what suits you better. The room is well equipped with what you would normally expect from a hotel of this standard, and the fireplace was a nice addition , beds are big and comfortable. Bathrooms are very basic, no tubs, and this part of the experience could be more sensorial. We didn't visit the hotel restaurant that serves up buffets, but we went to Sackville and its a beautiful restaurant that plays old school music, which seemed nice. Food is of average quality, some menu items are done well, and there is well stocked bar. Overall it has a nice cosy feel when the temperatures outside dip. The hotel grounds are lovely for a walk, and the landscaping is great - lovely hydrangeas everywhere! You can walk up to the higher levels to Pedro heights and some of the nicest views of the valley can be seen from the property. Shout out to Anousha from the front desk for her warm and welcoming smiles and helpful tips for around the city. The nutmeg coffee at Taylors was unique and we enjoyed it a lot.

The property itself is beautiful, and the food was genuinely good. However, the overall service and attention to detail were below the standard I would expect from a hotel of this level.

Most of the staff did not have a particularly welcoming or professional attitude, which affected the overall experience. The restaurant staff, however, were friendly and attentive and stood out positively.

The Kids’ Club was also disappointing. There was no staff member supervising the area, the activities and toys were very limited, and the toys did not appear to be regularly cleaned or properly arranged. Given that young children frequently put toys in their mouths, proper supervision and hygiene are especially important.

There were also small service issues that reflected a lack of attention to detail. For example, I requested a packet of salt for my baby and was told it would be brought, but it was never delivered.

I was also disappointed to notice some staff openly criticizing or commenting about other guests, which felt quite unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Overall, the property has a lot of potential, and the food is good, but the service, staff professionalism, Kids’ Club management, and attention to detail need significant improvement.
