Pros:

Our stay at the Osprey Hotel in Kingussie was honestly one of the highlights of our entire 3-week tour around Scotland. From the moment we arrived, Sinead and Des made us feel unbelievably welcome — not just as guests, but almost like family. They are two of the loveliest people we’ve ever met, and they have this rare gift of making you feel like you’re the most important people in the world during your stay.

The service throughout was absolutely incredible. Every little detail was cared for with such warmth and genuine hospitality that it felt more like staying in a second home than in a hotel.

The breakfasts were some of the best we have ever had anywhere. The porridge was exceptional, the mushrooms and scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, and the haggis and black pudding were absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was prepared with real care and quality ingredients.

Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and smelled amazing from the second we walked in. The bed was genuinely the most comfortable bed we slept in during our entire trip across Scotland. After long days exploring, coming back to the hotel felt like a luxury every single evening.

The entire house is decorated beautifully, with so much character and warmth while still feeling elegant and immaculate. Everything was so clean and hygienic, and the attention to detail was obvious everywhere you looked.

The location is perfect for exploring the national park, and after staying there we can honestly say it was worth every penny. We genuinely didn’t want to leave by the end of our stay because it had started to feel like a second home.

Thank you so much, Sinead and Des, for making our trip so special. We’ll remember our stay here for a very long time.

We loved our stay at the Osprey - we received a very warm welcome from Des after a long day exploring the highlands in the rain. Beds were comfy, breakfast was really tasty. Would love to come back!

A very welcoming and charming small hotel.
Pros:

A charming and very comfortable small hotel. The owners were very friendly and made us (and our dog) feel most welcome. Breakfast was first-rate and our room was immaculate.

Cons:

Not a criticism, but please note that the hotel does not serve dinner (there options to eat nearby).

Totally welcomed and cared for.
Pros:

The hotel was lovely - very clean and decorated beautifully. The room was well appointed - had everything I needed (only one with a reading lamp!) It was very near the train station. Breakfasts were amazing. The best part were the hosts who treated us like family and welcomed the guests with conversation and even a "wee dram" when they entered the building.

Liked everything about this place.

A lovely hotel altogether. Staff was super friendly and helpful, room got upgrade (much welcome with 3 adults in 1 room!). Everything was tidy, clean and comfortable

Cons:

Just the water pressure being so low, but that's it!

Cosy and homely accommodation away from the crowds.
Pros:

Cosy B&B in the heart of Kingussie. Sinead and Des were both lovely and very friendly owners. Room was a good size and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing! A beautiful bowl of porridge with berry compote to fuel our mountain walks.
