Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff
Pros:

The location and staff were amazing! I am not sure why this place doesn't get more reviews online. The location is an easy walk to everything while feeling private. The hotel grounds were lovely and we had a private balcony and a very spacious room. I loved the cedar bathtub and sake for the bath. The food was delicious! The staff gets 10 stars!! They were so nice; they accommodated every request, they offered welcome tea and cakes, they took our luggage to our room and there were laundry services available. My husband wasn't feeling well and they offered to help me with him and even made rice balls from the kitchen for him because he was too sick to eat dinner. I love this hotel so much.

So pretty and comfortable
Pros:

This hotel is not big but it’s a gem. Everything is so well organized, location is great if you’d like to be close to the old town. It’s a few steps from main locations. Rooms are great. Bathroom is like a steam room with big bathtub. We really enjoyed our stay.

Pros:

The breakfast and dinner is fine. They have a private Onsen suitable for family private use. Location is convinient and some famous temples are within 10-15 mins walking distance. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable for staying. They also have night drinking (free flow) session at the lobby which was very nice for relaxing your body and mind.

掃除が行き届き、とても空気がよく
リラックスしてくつろげました。
朝食もとても美味しく、体によいものをいただけて良かったです。
また是非、伺いたいと思います。

Cons:

冷蔵庫の飲みものは無料で飲めるものを入れるか
またはなしのほうが良いのではと思いました。
暑い夏ですので、飲みものは冷蔵庫を使って冷やしたいです。また、コインランドリーは暗証番号タイプでないと最近はこわいです。途中で違う方の洗濯物が混入されていました。ちょっと、、、

Best hotel stay in Japan with wonderful staff!
Pros:

This was our favorite hotel in Japan. Customer service and staff was more than expected. Our room was also quite spacious and the included breakfast was delicious. The location is literally in the heart of Gion. We had to checkout early on Monday and the staff actually packed our breakfast into a bento for us to take along. We would definitely stay again next time we visit Kyoto.
