Disappointing
Pros:

Close to Whitechapel station
Tea and coffee making kit in the room

Cons:

Small and cramped room, rather shabby
Couldn't hang anything up as the wardrobe was stuffed with bedding.
Kettle had to be moved to dressing table to access a socket.
Bathroom bin had not been emptied from previous occupants
I was taken aback to be told, as we were leaving, that we had been given an upgraded room!

Good Location & Kind Staff, but Basic Facilities. Anyway good value for money

The best part of my stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and a special mention goes to Cigdem, who was absolutely lovely and really made a difference. The staff truly adds value to the experience.

The location is also very convenient, and considering the price, I found the hotel to be reasonably good value. It is very close to Elizabeth line (whitechapel station) so you can be in London center in not more than 15 minutes.

Cons:

There are a few things that should be improved, though. The hotel is in need of renovation, especially the carpets, which are quite worn and could definitely use a refresh. Also, there is no air conditioning, so I would not recommend staying here during the summer, particularly when temperatures are high.

I booked a quadruple room, but realistically I found it much more suitable for two people. For four people, the room was simply too small and not very comfortable.

C’est proche du centre

Cons:

Mais le bruit de la rue s’entend très bien pendant la nuit, les toilettes se sentait aux égouts, la taille du lit était décevant. Et l’eau chaude dans la douche été un pénible, soit on se congèle soit on brûle, difficile de trouver un point moyenne. On s’attendait à mieux vu le prix.

Did the job but basic, easy for transport links
Pros:

Staff were helpful, close to tube station so easy to get to!

Cons:

Toilet hadn’t been left in a good state and it looked like the toilet roll had dropped in and then dried out so had to request new one but the staff were super helpful and agreed the cleaners hadn’t left it right. I also had a small desk in my room but now chair to sit on.

Exactly what we needed
Pros:

We needed the room for one night and it was perfect. Very close to the university and the room and facilities were excellent. The staff were very helpful and polite as well. We will definitely stay here again

Fantastic place to stay
Pros:

Thoroughly renovated, visibly very well cleaned and the bed was super comfy. The location is also great, only a 2-3min walk from Whitechapel subway station and bus stops. However, the most remarkable point for us was how well the staff treated us throughout our stay and even the following day. In particular, Cigdem was extremely helpful and kind, assisting us in securing a suitable transfer to the airport.

Great, helpful and very much appreciated
Pros:

We were impacted by the NATS failure, resulting in our 11am flight being cancelled.
We were rearranged into an 8:30pm flight which subsequently delayed by over an hour.
When we landed at heathrow (11pm), we had to wait an hour for a bus to transport us to the terminal.
This meant we were too late for a train and had to get a bus as the taxi queue was huge.
I kept the hotel updated throughout and we eventually arrived shortly after 3am.
The guy who checked us in, whose name i cannot remember (sorry,) was great. He was there waiting for us and could not have been more pleasant. I could not praise him enough.
The room was clean, well equipped and well provisioned.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about.
