The RuMa Hotel and Residences

We have always enjoyed our stay here. The service from the hotel staff was excellent, they were attentive and every single one of them went out of the way to make us comfortable. Even before checking in, Auni from the Reservations Team was very helpful in addressing our concerns.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this establishment and by the high-end materials used throughout the hotel and the rooms. It is a beautiful hotel, ideally located in the center of Kuala Lumpur, close to the Petronas Towers while still being peaceful and quiet.

The bedding is worthy of a true 5-star hotel and provides outstanding comfort. Special mention also goes to the hotel’s pastry chef — the pastries were excellent. The breakfast was varied and delicious.

We will certainly return for our return flight at the end of May.

I was on a solo business trip. While on a call in the bathroom, I heard the doorbell ring. I did not respond and continued with my meeting. Despite this, a male housekeeper entered the room unannounced while I was still inside, forcing me to shout to stop him.

This is a small boutique hotel. Typically, hotels have systems in place to determine whether a guest is in the room before entering. That does not appear to be the case here—there was no verification, and staff entered without permission.

The staff later argued that I had not placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. However, that does not justify entering an occupied room without confirmation.

The level of privacy and safety is unacceptable, and there is a clear lack of proper guest-handling procedures.

I also had an incident at the swimming pool. A server passed by and offered water. I asked if he could assist in contacting the manager, as I had forgotten my key. He initially refused and told me to “find my own way.” When a senior staff member walked past and I asked her for help, the same server immediately changed his tone and said, “Ok, ok, I help you, I help you—don’t complain.” The senior staff member ultimately assisted by contacting the front desk.

Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and reflects a team that appears inadequately trained.

This hotel was so comfortable and the food was superb! Small hitch at check in. Got my keycard but it wasn’t working so they checked and checked me in to a higher floor due to the mix up.

I got a corner room and enjoyed it so much. Extremely spacious room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom - Balmain toiletries. It was so perfect. It felt very much like a luxurious home hotel and I didn’t want to check out even though I was going to the Park Hyatt at Merdeka for my next stay. The bath tub was so comfortable. 10/10 stay!

I didn’t try the spa/pool but the hotel has a great location. Close to the mall and Petronas Twin Towers which was amazing to see at night (unforgettable view).

I cannot wait to be back to KL and stay here again!

We truly enjoyed our stay for 3d 2nights here. Breakfast was hearty, afternoon tea at the libari was divine and the menu was well curated with twist of malaysian style. Special shoutout to Zurina for accommodating us. Absolutely love the hospitality.

was blown away by the thought process that went into curating tea time. ordered tea time with my wife and the local ingredients was creatively infused in the petit gateux and chocolate. Attended by warm Naveen. shout out also to Zurina for recommending us house specialty mocktails.

Please also try their dinner. Penang fish curry was superb , on par with the one in Penang.

Super stylish hotel in the heart of KL. We only stayed for one night, but we will be back on our next KL visit. We loved the hotel lobby and the pool, and the room was beyond our expectations. Every detail is spot on. What a wonderful hotel stay.

The room, views & other facilities are good, it’s just that we’ve experienced paranormal activity in the room while we were sleeping.

Disturbance only occurs in the middle of night, things falling sound, bathroom glass-door opening sound, things knocked sounds & also baby crying sounds outside of my room.

My fiancée loves to sleep in completely darkness, as for me, I like to have dimmed light, every night before going to bed, I’ll leave the washroom door slightly open to let some light into the room. Last night of the stay, my fiancée wakes me up midnight, say there’s a guy standing in front of her, staring at her until she wakes me up then its gone…

Overall is good, its just paranormal stuff.

A place to escape, a place to unwind, and definitely a place to recuperate. Highly recommended to stay to relax. Genuine service from staff.

Had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and everything was well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Adreena who assisted me throughout my stay. She was very kind, professional, and made the experience even better. Definitely recommended and I would love to stay here again!❤️

The hotel was very convenient as it is located in the city centre, close to the mall and KLCC, which made everything easier for us. During check-in, Haikal was very welcoming and kind enough to upgrade our room. We also mentioned to him that we were celebrating our 30th anniversary, and surprisingly, on the same day, the hotel sent us a lovely cake to celebrate. Such a thoughtful gesture that truly made our stay extra special.

This is honestly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The hospitality was excellent, the staff were attentive, and everything throughout the stay was wonderful. Trust me, I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel again.

Absolut perfekt! Wir waren hier im Rahmen unserer dreimonatigen Asienreise und das RuMa wird und als bestes Hotel der ganzen Reise in Erinnerung bleiben. Besonders toll ist die Lage zwischen Pavillon und den Petronas Towers, man kann eigentlich alles zu Fuss machen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls der Hammer, das Personal extrem freundlich und alles piekfein sauber.
