The RuMa Hotel and Residences

Can't be beaten for the price point. Enter level room is not huge (particularly if you have lots of suitcases) but can't complain for the price. Good buffet breakfast was also included. Staff very friendly. Pool was nice, and lots of areas to sit and relax. Super easy to walk to Suria KLCC or the Pavilion Shopping Mall. "Avenue K" mall (across the road from Suria KLCC) is great for a little pampering - The Nail Shop for mani/pedi, C. Michael London for a wash and blow-dry, and Earwan Wellness Massage for massage. They are next to each other. One stop for pampering!

Breakfast was excellent, staff were vey helpful. The lighting system in the room was a bit challenging without any instructions. The room - the washbasin was stuck, the toilet was leaking on the floor, and up keep was variable - eg. no soap lotion etc., one bed turned back but never the other. I also thought the prices of drinks excessive and unrealistic, which meant we didn't indulge much. Some hotels have a special hour, which means visitors have a few drinks. and then stay on for dinner. I didn't see any such offers

After a long, exhausting day of business meetings, walking into The RuMa Hotel felt like an absolute sanctuary. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality made me feel instantly at ease and completely at home.

First and foremost, the cleanliness of this hotel is impeccable. My room was flawless, beautifully maintained, and provided the perfect, serene environment to unwind and decompress after work.
2. Exceptional Reception Team
The check-in and front desk experience was seamless and incredibly welcoming. A huge thank you to Yinny, Nizam, Mas, Haikal, Sumaiyah and Kiki at reception. Their politeness, warmth, and efficiency stood out immediately. They go above and beyond to make you feel noticed and valued as a guest.
3. Outstanding Breakfast & Service
Breakfast was another highlight of my stay, not just for the delicious food, but for the wonderful morning staff. Bell, Intan, Limon, Tanbir, Dayana, Aqirah, and Dafina were absolutely fantastic. They were attentive, polite, and always greeted me with genuine smiles, which is exactly the kind of positive energy you need to start a busy day.

The RuMa has mastered the art of luxury hospitality with a deeply personal touch. I can’t recommend it enough for business travelers looking for comfort and top-tier service. I will definitely be back!

Oh it was such an amazing stay! From the moment we stepped in the lobby, we were greeted with smiles and assistance to get us checked in to our room. The check in process was not over the counter but the staff actually sat next to me and explain everything before bringing us up to the room. The poolside was so gorgeous that I cancelled my outside dinner plans and ended up having the most delicious pizza at SANTAI. We returned to the room and was pleasantly surprised with the turndown service. Totally transformed the mood from a daytime resort feel to a perfect cosy evening and ready for bed. Can't wait to be back soon and try dinner at ATAS.

Past trips had been amazing but not the last one. I do like their location and the room is nice and comfortable. But we dined 3 times at the hotel during this stay and they just weren't great. Service was spotty and inconsistent, probably because the hotel is popular and running at high capacity during my week of stay.

They used to serve barista made coffee at breakfast but are now using machines to get the job done quick. One of the nights we ordered a seafood past from in room dining and ended up throwing away ALL the seafood.

And it took forever for points to be credited to I prefer account.

Simply put, I will be finding new hotel options...

I stayed at The RuMa for a few days during Eid and honestly it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Kuala Lumpur. What stood out the most was the warm welcome. The General Manager personally greeted me on arrival, which was unexpected and made me feel very appreciated as a guest. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. I also loved the hotel’s location because it was easy to get around the city while still feeling calm and private. Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. As someone who works in the travel industry and stays in hotels regularly, I can say that The RuMa pays attention to details that many hotels overlook. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kuala Lumpur.

Good location as you can walk to many nearby attractions and shopping mall. The breakfast here was great especially nasi lemak and teh tarik! The staff here are friendly and warm, would like to thanks arif from atas and eni from reception as they were attentive, kind and helpful.

The concierge, Joshua Sekhan assisted us with
1. Giving us a map of Kuala Lumpur to show us where RuMa Hotel is and then identifying the sites I had listed. He told us which sites were in walking distance and which we could go to via train or uber.
2. Joshua gave us suggestions for sites we should go to - making sure we had plans to see important Kuala Lumpur landmarks.
3. Joshua recommended areas and restaurants to go to for lunch and dinner.
4. The next day, Joshua saw us and came over to see how things went and to see if we needed further assistance. Truly a step beyond the already great service!

Our stay at the Ruma was sensational - one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had.
Everything about the hotel was perfect but in particular the staff were the highlight. Everyone from every department seemed to enjoy working at the hotel.

Bring your swim wear to swim and chill, if not, the malls are nearby for selections.

Remind to book ahead for the massage, better if you book it together with the room as the massage will be fully booked the day itself.
