The location is the best. But more than that - the hotel & staff made our stay so special and memorable.
The service is above and beyond thoughtful - Osgood, Allen, Yulia from concierge. Rose, Sandy, Yang from Cafe Zi. Shelly & Bob from housekeeping. Lina, Avery, William, Alex from the front desk - all of them are so generous and will take good care of you.
If you are celebrating something, this is the best hotel to stay in. Theres always a surprise waiting!
An absolutely perfect experience at MO Wangfujing. From pre-arrival tour planning to the warm farewell, every detail was impeccable. Rosie Gao, quality and guest relations manager, was a gem. Her dining recommendations, reservations, and house car arrangements were seamless. She even helped arrange a fascinating visit to their Qianmen sister property. Hotel manager Elliott Wang made us feel genuinely at home, while the concierge team and every staff member greeted us by name with genuine warmth. Our room boasted a stunning Forbidden City view, which elevated the entire experience. The thoughtful farewell souvenirs touched our hearts. This is personalised luxury at its finest, Without a doubt, a 100/100 stay. Thanks for the memories.
Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing —

We had a wonderful stay, thanks to Peter Fu who taking good care a welcome drink and meal while we were waiting for the room,
Hotel room is impeccable clean. The service is top.
Having not visited Beijing for over a decade, choosing the right hotel for our large family of 9 traveling from Singapore was a huge decision. Since we have stayed at Mandarin Oriental properties across different countries, we had high expectations for Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing.
Unfortunately, our arrival was disappointing. The front desk staff greeted us with a cold, robotic attitude that felt very far from the warm hospitality MO is known for. To make matters worse, our first room had a severe, suffocating musty odor. Since our first day was packed and hectic, we tried to endure it. However, after spending the second day out exploring with the family, walking back into that damp, moldy smell was the breaking point. It was completely unbearable.
Frustrated, I called the Concierge, and thankfully, William answered my call. From that exact moment, the experience completely changed. William is the absolute definition of why we loyal guests choose Mandarin Oriental. He didn’t just listen to my complaint; he showed genuine care, deeply empathized with our frustration, and truly stood in our shoes to solve the problem immediately.
Despite it being very late in the evening and handling a large family of nine, he went completely above and beyond. Knowing how exhausted we all were, he incredibly thoughtfully arranged for us to go straight to a fresh, south-facing room to sleep first, postponing the exhausting luggage relocation until the next day so we wouldn't be further disrupted in the middle of the night. He also immediately sent up an air purifier. His reassuring attitude, swift action, and exceptional attentiveness instantly turned my anger into complete relief. The following morning, the bellmen were also very proactive, enthusiastic, and helpful in completing our room move.
William single-handedly turned what could have been a holiday disaster into a comforting, memorable experience. He is a phenomenal asset to this hotel. Thank you, William, for your dedication and for reminding us what legendary MO service looks like!
I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the elegant design, the serene atmosphere, and the breathtaking view of the Forbidden City from my room. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Beijing, yet it feels like a peaceful oasis.
What truly set this stay apart, however, was the outstanding service. I would like to give a special thank you to Aveny at the front desk. She was incredibly warm, professional, and attentive from check-in to check-out. She anticipated my needs before I even voiced them, offered excellent recommendations for local dining, and made sure every detail of my stay was flawless. Her genuine care and radiant smile made me feel truly welcomed and valued as a guest.
The room was immaculate, the bed was heavenly, and the amenities were top-notch. I also enjoyed the spa and the rooftop bar, which offered stunning city views. Every staff member I encountered was courteous and helpful.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing—whether for business or leisure. And if you want a seamless, five-star experience, be sure to say hello to Aveny. She is a true asset to the Mandarin Oriental team.
I will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, and thank you, Aveny, for making my trip so memorable!
The hotel was very clean and quiet. After walking around the city all day, it was nice to come back and relax in the room.
I would like to thank Stena and Mavis at the front desk. She was always polite and answered my questions kindly. I appreciated their help during my stay.
Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality. I had a comfortable stay and hope to visit again someday.
Everything. Location, interior design, Staff, Service.
Definitely the best Hotel in Beijing!
場所が良かった。
交通規制があるタクシーが使いにくい。
This was a wonderful experience full of surprises. A special thank you to Aimyon at the front desk who went above and beyond to decorate our room when she found out we were celebrating a birthday. It made the trip so memorable!
Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in.
Everything about this property feels refined and thoughtfully curated. The interiors are elegant, the atmosphere is calm and sophisticated, and every detail reflects true luxury.
One of my favorite parts of the stay was the wellness experience. The spa facilities, pool, steam room, and sauna created the perfect environment to relax after a day of exploring Beijing. The hotel also introduced us to traditional local experiences, making our stay feel even more authentic and memorable.
The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, always anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Their genuine hospitality made us feel at home throughout our stay.
An unforgettable experience and a perfect example of why Mandarin Oriental remains one of the world’s leading luxury hotel brands.
I had always thought that the luxury hotels were pretty much the same, but this time I got a little better after staying at Mandarin Oriental in Wangfujing, Beijing.
My favorite was the overall atmosphere of the hotel, which wasn't particularly dramatic but was very comfortable to stay in.
Returning from the outside in the evening, I sat in the lobby for a while, had a cup of tea, and felt the exhaustion of the day had come down.
Thanks to Stena,Yulia and Mavis for taking care of them, they will take the initiative to greet them during the stay, making people feel like they are really remembered, rather than going through the process of service.
Before I start reviewing the property I must start by complementing the great service the concierge gave us before and throughout our stay. They arranged everything like we asked and we did not have a single problem in all our stay. The rest of the staff from their kitchen to room service were also great and went above and beyond to help us with all our needs.
The hotel itself is right in the middle of Wangfujing and you can walk right outside to a very lively area full of shops, malls and restaurants. Also their terrace has beautiful views of the city. Their rooms and restaurants were all great. The only thing we missed was a nice outside pool (or inside as their pool is a super small two lane inside pool).
Overall it was a great stay.
A great MO hotel!
Perfect central location, lovely rooms and, best of all, great helpful staff.
Cool MO bar and Cafe Zi was excellent.
My wife and I loved our short day there and wish we could have stayed longer
MO hotels are usually very well located and this one is no exception. It is like an oasis in the middle of the hustle bustle of Wangfujing and I looked forward to my return to the quiet and solitude of the hotel after suffering the torture of accompanying my wife to numerous shopping malls nearby. We have travelled extensively all over the world and are familiar with well known hotels. I was expecting top notch service with warm hospitality and the hotel certainly lived up to the expectations. All the staff were warm, polite and helpful. Some are more fluent in English than others, but it was not an issue at all. Check in/check out was smooth. Stena at the front desk was very efficient and courteous. Osgood with his pins was also very friendly and saved me the trouble of finding a post office. The dining room staff spoke excellent English and I felt great when one lady said my pronunciation of 谢谢 was perfect. They really know how to make the guests feel happy ! Breakfast buffet had a good mix. After three weeks of travelling in China eating steamed buns, fried rice and noodles for breakfast I was desperate for some proper continental breakfast and the hotel definitely delivered. One of the best almond croissants that I have ever eaten. The egg benedict was perfect. My small gripe with the Avo toast is that I am used to have the Avo mashed and spread on the bread with a bit of lemon/salt and not served just as slices on bread. No big deal of course.
Our room did have a partial view of the forbidden city, you get better view from their terrace. I regret that I did not have time to enjoy the pool. Lovely big bathroom , his and hers basins and a separate WC with one of those Toto modern toilets with many buttons, even separate settings for two users ! Very good sound proofing.
One small thing that impressed me was that I had left several cables plugged to the wall socket in the morning. On my return I saw house keeping has neatly tidied up all the cables and even used a cable tie to make them look very organised !
This is not a huge hotel and that makes the experience more personal. It does not have a grand lobby and you may be disappointed that the entrance is common with a shopping mall. But as soon as you step out of the lift it oozes old world charm and sense of peace and solitude.
Have a look at the room key card. It is designed by Timmy Yip, who was the art director of one my my most favourite films Couching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I appreciated the gifts at the time of leaving.
My one little comment is that I found the pillows a bit on the sift side. Some hotels have a pillow menu where the guests can choose pillows with different level of firmness. Maybe the management can look into that.
Overall a very satisfying stay and I'd certainly consider staying here if I return to Beijing.
Amazing rooms. Lovely view
I had such a great stay at Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing. I’ve stayed at quite a few luxury hotels in Beijing, but this one really stands out. The hotel feels elegant without trying too hard — very calm, modern, and comfortable. After spending the whole day out in the city, coming back to the hotel honestly felt like a reset.
What made the experience even better was the service. Stena was amazing throughout my stay — always warm, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. She remembered little details and made everything feel very natural instead of overly formal. Allen was also incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and arrangements, which made my trip so much easier. You can really tell the team cares about guests instead of just following a standard routine.
I also loved the rooftop atmosphere at night and how peaceful the rooms felt. Everything about the stay just felt easy and relaxing. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you want to come back before you’ve even checked out. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Beijing.
